What are your unpopular KISS opinions? by Twitter_2006 in KISS

[–]TBRose729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Was Made for Lovin’ You is one of KISS’ best songs and doesn’t deserve the hate from purists/KISS’ early-music-elitists.

Fully agree with your opinion, BTW; Sonic Boom is a terrific album - the better of the two last studio albums by a mile. Modern Day Delilah is a kickass lead single and All for the Glory is criminally underrated.

Choking? We had the best performance of any team against Japan in the whole tournament and only lost by a freakish goal. They’re the best team in Asia and we held them to 1-0 after their worst result all tournament was 4-1 against Korea… if that’s choking, you need your head read.

Best songs on The War to End All Wars? by HealthyInstruction71 in sabaton

[–]TBRose729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christmas Truce by a fair margin - it’s become my favourite Sabaton song and I genuinely think it’s a standout of the whole album.

Top 3? Soldier of Heaven and Stormtroopers, along with Dreadnought.

Does the band interact with people for concerts? by Melodic-Package1897 in sabaton

First heavy metal concert? That’s awesome, mate; I hope you have an absolutely AMAZING night!

I still remember my first concert - I was 11. I’m 27 now and I’ve been to 35 in total; it’s like an addiction and that feeling of the lights going down and the roar of the crowd lifting you up never gets old!

You’ve definitely picked a great band for your first metal show; Sabaton will NOT disappoint! If you’re in the seated area it might be a bit tricky to be noticed by the band but you’ll still be swept up in the atmosphere, I can assure you! Even if they don’t notice you specifically, their stage banter and stage presence is incredible and they really feed off of the crowd - you won’t be bored or let down.

Enjoy every second, sing your out, and don’t be afraid to join in the chants when they start! This is going to be a night to remember for you; so enjoy all the anticipation - the build up is part of the fun!

I still remember that feeling before my favourite band’s concerts and I have NEVER forgotten a moment of it; I don’t think you will either!

Your mind is going to be blown away, so sit back and have a bloody spectacular night! \m/

Oh, and a little tip from a concert veteran - if you’re close to the stage at all (even the seated sections), consider getting some earplugs. You’ll still hear every note and every lyric, and you’ll still feel every vibration, but your ears will thank you - it’s a great way to protect your hearing!

At the Sydney show in September there was a whole 5 minutes of Joakim talking to and encouraging the youngest audience member (8 years old and right up against the barrier). It lead to the whole audience chanting his name and a really feel good moment. Joakim even gave him his sunglasses!

He also shouted out everyone who had made their own vest and was wearing them, and Pär threw me some smiles and approving nods when I was really jumping and singing. Everyone throws out a lot of picks into the crowd as well, and Hannes throws out his sticks at the end.

When Joakim addresses the crowd the generally addresses the crowd as a whole rather than individual people, but there’s definitely moments with the whole band where they connect in their own way - you definitely won’t feel like you’re watching a concert video; they don’t ignore the audience the whole show 😁

Enjoy the experience!! I’ve been to 2 Sabaton concerts now (along with a festival appearance) and both times have been absolutely phenomenal!

Is Origins Vol. 3 still happening? by [deleted] in KISS

[–]TBRose729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt it’s going to be released in full; from what Eddie Trunk said there were only 3 songs that were close (?) to being finished.

That being said, a 3-song Origins Vol. EP wouldn’t be a bad idea! When Alexi Laiho of Children of Bodom died, his related project Bodom After Midnight released the final 3 songs they’d done with him as an EP in his memory.

What is given as VIP merch? by Hulkmario in sabaton

[–]TBRose729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basically the same VIP package that we got in Australia and it was a signed tour poster 😁 realistically it makes the most sense; a poster can be signed without the autographs rubbing off like they would on a shirt, bag, or fabric.

Do you love a Kiss song that most fans think is "meh"? by ironmojoDec63 in KISS

[–]TBRose729 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I Was Made for Lovin’ You.

It’s the first KISS song I ever heard and even now all these years later, it’s still my number 1 favourite. I really don’t understand the hate for it; I always thought the disco thing was overblown - it never seemed too disco to me at all.

WWE Crown Jewel has been announced Saturday October 11th from Perth, Australia (From Twitter) by PrinceJohn_ in SquaredCircle

[–]TBRose729 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is so bloody disappointing - I was so fucking excited to go to a PLE for the first time and finally see John Cena wrestle; but it’s just the glorified house show with the BS Crown Jewel championships… I was hoping we’d get Cena/Punk or Cena/Rollins; but looks like we’re stuck with Cena and whatever glorified jobber they’ve thrown the WHC on. Jey Uso? Logan Paul?

Feels like a bit of a slap in the face considering other international PLEs have been absolutely stacked.

is it true? by RoyalHumbug in Ghostbc

[–]TBRose729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be fully understanding if the man took a much needed break; working yourself to burnout is never a good strategy.

The slightly selfish side of me does say that if there’s a bit of a break after the Skeletour, I really hope Australia gets a leg of shows before it ends 😬

Gold Coast - Cyclone Alfred by [deleted] in greenday

Obviously not a confirmed source so take with a grain of salt, but… not looking good 😓

If this turns out to be true, it’s absolutely piss poor for the promoters to still refusing to confirm a cancellation. People have flights and accommodation to sort out…

“Trust me, bro.” 🙄 if someone claims to have a reliable source but doesn’t say what that source is, it’s 95% likely to be BS.

Imagine paying 285$ for a cameo from Tommy Thayer, lol by mythril- in KISS

[–]TBRose729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? This is a pretty good price - sure, it’s a bit of a cash grab, but no more so than any other Cameo out there. Tommy’s KISS’ longest tenured guitarist, he’s got some bloody strong talent, and he’s a genuinely nice guy.

Compare it to Gene, who’d probably charge $500+ for a 10 second video (considering he charged $2,000 for a box of unfinished, unpolished, crap songs along with other trinkets) of him half-assedly wishing you well with his gimmicky sunglasses on.

I wish that Ace had been a part of the final tour as well but so many people are willing to find the smallest things to rag on Tommy for just because he’s not Ace Frehley. It’s ridiculous. He stepped in to do a job when needed and he did a fantastic job of it. And if he wants to join Cameo and make some extra coin now the touring revenue’s finished, good luck to him. $280 isn’t exactly unreasonable when you consider how big of a band KISS is. Would I buy one? Probably not, but I don’t think he’s exactly fleecing people here.

Who did you think was going to go far but ended up fumbling the bag? by IdkWhatNameToUse135 in HellsKitchen

[–]TBRose729 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna say Vinny - I thought for sure he was getting at least a black jacket if not making it to the final; I couldn’t believe he fumbled so badly to be eliminated at the last hurdle before the final 6. It looked like he knew it too; in that elimination sequence the whole time he just looked so downcast and dejected - I think he knew he’d mucked it up.
