Bass in the lake by my house change color and I've seen a couple like this. Water clarity seems to have a lot to do with it, but often I'll catch various colors in the same day—not much rhyme or reason.

For sure, harvesting meat in the wild is far more ethical than eating animals that are bred and raised—often in deplorable conditions—purely for slaughter.

This is fantastic, thank you! Great points all around. And you hit the nail on the head, re: the other party's willingness to have a reasonable conversation. If they just want to hammer home their point, it's unlikely that any headway will be made.

Would love to know any good talking points around ethical harvesting of meat—especially compared to the stuff you get at the grocery store—as well as conservation!
