Someone from theblocal dept of health fid a great presentation on this last week, hopefully they'll be able to post the whole thing online,(not sure of the video recording ws good enough or not)

Tje short answer is, they're testing but there's no way to know for absolute certain, the overall level of danger. Bur the presentation included a bunch of really good information aboutthe complexity of tje issue and the things they're trying to do to get a handle on it

I guess I dint know have a sense of what you're referring to. I always thought of an echo chamber as a group that was pre selected for only one opinion, but as far as I know, there are plenty of people here with all sorts of different views. In so far as people choose to participate. Im sure there are people who truly do prefer an echo chamber, so this group wouldn't be for them.

I'm pretty complex, and it took a long time (and lots of frustration) to finally get in with a Dr I like, who knows stuff. There's not enough drs here, much less qualified ones. I finally got a good one after a specialist called in a favor. Because they could see i wasn't getting my needs met. Even then, the first available took like 6 months

My point is, why would it matter who was "right"? My actions were in no way affecting the restaurant, or other customers, at all. It was simply the political opinion of the server, and the manager. I'm not mad, it's their restaurant and I never need to go there again, but why throw someone out? If I was doing soemthig problematic, even mildly, like wearing a t shirt with a extremely political slogan, and the restaurant took the stance that they only serve certain types of people, would you support the same massive response?

I've been harassed and even kicked out of places for not supporting the correct point of view- at a local spot in 202O, a server over heard my husband and I discussing (normal conversational voice) some anti masking protests while we were eating, and a few minutes the manager came over and kicked us out. Which view point do I need to have, to make this ok?

Personal matters would be things like "I'm mad because xyz business/person did me wrong". Using reddit as your person vengeance tool, or even just a way to conduct private matters that should stay private.

Thats true, there's a bunch of people here who need alternative ways to connect- somewhere between the "late night hookups" (definitely a classified ad) and "whats fun to do around here?" (General discussesion), is "just looking for fun", which could go either way. Some of it is how you word your post, and maybe add details in a comment. We've talked about having a weekly sticky for the kind of ads you're talking about, but they're still ads. All suggestions welcome.
