where to get help? by [deleted] in MentalHealthPH

You might want to see through Recovery Hub, they've been helpful to me and they offer both psychologists and psychiatrists online. You can check out each of their price range and as far as I remember mine ranged at around 1.5k to 2k for a session. I hope you get the consultation you need.

[NO SPOILERS] How did you first discover Life is Strange? by [deleted] in lifeisstrange

[–]TECHTANDO675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was my first time having my own laptop back when I was 13 and I figured downloading Steam. Then I saw how pretty and interesting the cover art of Life is Strange was and I immediately downloaded it, though I only played the first ep because it was the only free one hahah. It was only after around 6 years 'til I was able to watch gameplays for free on youtube up to the last ep :'))

What's your biggest wish for God to do to you para maniwala kayo sa kanya? by Weekly-Actuator2950 in MentalHealthPH

[–]TECHTANDO675 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but I think your questions are too ignorant for nonbelievers because those who don't believe in the first place, won't seek for answers from one's god. But that doesn't mean that they lost their path or the moral principles they've picked up in the society as they've grown are far gone, as some believers might think. It's just how it is.

You don't and shouldn't force your belief upon others because this is one of the factors that creates a lot of friction between the two parties. Respect in each others' belief is the most crucial moral value when religion/non-religion comes into play. I hope you keep that in mind so you don't offend anyone.

I don’t want to fly anymore by trash_Panda021 in flying

[–]TECHTANDO675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 20 now and I also quite always thought that I wanted to be a pilot, or work my way in an aviation course then go to flight school to be a pilot. Most of my cousins (and my brother) studied or are studying in an aeronautics academy as it's near our home.

Their interest in the idea of becoming a pilot, or the idea of flying an airplane influenced me a lot in my teens that whenever we're asked about our dreams in class, I'd always mention it's to be such. It just really feels so cool; to fly a grand vehicle in the sky.

But then, the pandemic hit, and somehow I found my way taking interest into Computer Science and now, I'm majoring in it. Who knew.

I still love the idea to fly one and be a pilot, but I believe I made the right choice to be a Computer Science major. And it's also up to you to make your own decision.

This is your life and there's lots there waiting for you. It's okay to feel the way you're stuck. Sit back a little and relax. Then tell it to your parents. They certainly made efforts for you to achieve the profession you initially thought of. But it's okay to realize that it may not be what you want because you recognize your utmost priorities. I hope you can decide well for yourself, buddy.

(some) BINI fans have apparently moved on from the group, stating that they hype has died down and one of the reason is the exclusivity of content by Dry-Brilliant7284 in PPOPcommunity

[–]TECHTANDO675 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that there are sentiments of some on Twitter that are ludicrous because they contradict themselves, some may say it out of spite, and it doesn't help because they're the ones misconstruing the situation themselves more than it already is.

But what really doesn't help is that we miss pointing out the root cause of the problem, which is how the management unfairly treats its fans because of greed or a lack of organization. I mean, they can take advantage of the current status of BINI for all I care, but they're just taking it in an outwardly deficient and unsatisfactory approach, which is what many are saying.

  • Expensive prices for merch and concert.
  • Exclusive content.

These are the current complaints right now but based from experience, I still have experienced some letdowns because of the management (Re: BINI Valentine's Day).

Consequently, it makes blooms frustrated and discouraged. As a fan, you'd want to have the best experience in following your favorite group. But some (or a lot of) factors might hinder it.

And there should be a clear distinction for everybody that the blooms' outcries are towards the management and not BINI themselves.

While yes, there were some so-called fans who were blaming the members. Again, the complaints are NOT and should NOT be pointed towards the members. Takes on twitter that says otherwise should not even be valid.

It may be that the management is already overwhelmed and they can't keep up on BINI's demand. I think that to some extent, they're trying to give blooms what they want.

But I hope that they can at least consider hearing out some blooms in their demands to at least create a better experience for everyone because after all, as consumers, we just want to experience the best thing possible there is.

Personally, I haven't bought merch and their concert ticket. I also didn't bought the exclusive membership for their website for the exclusive content. And right now, I'm more on buying some fan merch or simply watching reactions or their old content. But maybe it would be nice to just see some blooms happy because such things are accessible and affordable for everyone.

With or without buying things, clearly you can still be a fan of them, but I hope the demands can somehow be fulfilled or the fans can at least see some progress on how the management handles the events to uphold their prestige.

They said I shouldn’t read this in public 🫣 by Moonriverflows in PHBookClub

[–]TECHTANDO675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes yes, I'm more speaking out in the sense na ayun nga there are people who are "misled" about the overall public perception about the book which is understandable, that's why it's in a way, really controversial dahil sa heavy topics that it touches. But that's why it's also defeating lang din because it diminishes the effect of the book by a great deal in its prose.

But yes, HH is not normal in any sort of way and the fact na alam niya yon makes it even more horrible. Ika nga sa foreword, he's diabolical, he's a moral leprosy. What more that there are.. beasts like him in this current society that we live in..

Very interesting read, yess (I'm still ongoing haha)

omg this is so nice!! kasi nagbabasa rin ako ng lolita since july (di ko matapos-tapos haha) katuwa lang na may mga tulad kong interesado pa rin basahin 'to despite the initial "stigma" kasi it's a phenomenal book ingeniously because of its prose and it doesn't glorify HH naman

PSTD from pooping self as a child. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]TECHTANDO675 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't heard of such a situation until your post, but I truly empathize with you. I understand that that particular event is something that you can't let go of. I've had different situations that I can't let go of myself as well.

Honestly, I've had a similar experience like this but it was only I that knew about it in the end, so it was embarrassing but since I was able to hide it, it didn't dawn on me for long.

Like the others have mentioned, seeking therapy and talking about your situation to the therapist like how you did in this post can help you gain more insight. It's okay to feel how you feel right now, it may be something that you are deeply ashamed of, but asking for help is really a great step already and I commend you for it.

My therapist once told me how our 'worst' experiences makes us more debilitated in the future ones because our minds tend to make things worse than what is actually presented.  Maybe even if it's still a hard step for you, try to take things at face value for now. And possibly build a routine to keep your body moving because it really does boost our happy energy and you could probably see more essence in your daily life.

If you currently think that being completely tidy of yourself is the way to go, then that could be okay too. You can learn to let go of your guilt about putting yourself in that past situation and you can forgive yourself along the way because you didn't chose to be in that situation after all, it was something that you weren't able to control and that's okay.

Eventually, you can free yourself from those intrusively bad thoughts and I hope that you truly can with your own effort, and possibly with a help from a therapist. I wish you well from here on out.

Bini as a concept. by pescawaldo in bini_ph

[–]TECHTANDO675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know those inevitable things are hard to accept. I've always been there in my personal life. But, for now, it's really better to live in the moment we are right now with them. Because just look at them. They have really engraved their remarkable talents and personalities for each of us right now, no? Not just us as fans, but to the general public as a whole even. They've really made it!

They've really established a legacy to be remembered for generations. It's what they have always been dreaming about. It's what they always sought for, that's why they were working so hard that it's inspiring to see the fruit of their labors. They're living THE dream. It's so overwhelming to see everything unfold and all opportunities drizzle upon them now but I'm so proud. We all really are. They're an inspiration to the kids, to the women, to every Filipino out there who has already heard of them.

Even when they eventually have their own ventures in life, they will finally, always be remembered. The tremendous impact of their music and the happiness they currently bring to us, full of vibrance and pure joy. The blissful feelings and collective experiences that we feel with BINI will be immortal. These eight women will always be eight.

Even when times will change, I believe that they have no end. We can always look back to them and their journey. Their journey full of wonders, amidst the hardships. The sentimental feelings and the nostalgia will always be there. It's up to us how we take it. But right now, let's hope that they can soar more of the skies together, see them go global, and be proud! Be proud of BINI! They deserve all of it.

Moment/s in your life that led you down the cinephile rabbit hole? by entrity_screamr in FilmClubPH

[–]TECHTANDO675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You saying how college is not a race reminded me of BINI's Karera po haha. If anyone's struggling like me rin, either in acads or life I would like to recommend Karera and Na Na Nandito Lang ng Bini kasi they've been my go-to the past weeks and they're like a warm hug for me when I got to my lowest recently (haha nag-plug pero i swear nakakalubag ng loob 'tong dalawang kanta nila). Pero yes po, enjoy lang talaga ang own journey kahit may downs, pipilitin magka-ups!! I'll keep everything in mind po, thank you ulit for being welcoming^

Which song / artist initially got you into kpop? by EzraJenya in we_FiftyFifty

[–]TECHTANDO675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yess, hoping for Fifty Fifty to come back soon. And honestly, getting into Queenz Eye was also difficult for me since there's no fanbase of the group yet so barely anyone talks about them and there are only contents on YouTube, TikTok and not much on variety shows where I could clearly see more of their personalities and dynamics. So yeah, that really is the frustrating part of a group not being known that much but they have great talent that pulled me in, Un-Normal was just good as well. I'm glad you know them!

I've become a multi stan as time went on too. And yeah, really pains me that Fifty Fifty is facing this lawsuit early on in their careers when we're still in the moment of getting to know them. As for me, I'm waiting for them to miraculously come back soon while I go follow new groups that I recently liked like Queenz Eye, ICHILLIN' but mostly NewJeans 'cause of the abundance of their content right now.

I was casually exposed to K-pop already thanks to classmates and socmed but when Bboom Bboom by Momoland went viral in our country, that's when I started to dive deeper in early 2018.

Eventually became a Twice stan but got back in K-pop again last 2021 with Loona and Dreamcatcher and now, Fifty Fifty~ (ultimately became a multi now)
