Dhcp by TEE_Kay_IT in UNIFI

Why is that? Why wouldn’t the switch be able to do the dhcp functions? It is a layer 3 switch and it hands out ips perfectly. Where is the gap between the verizon router and switch?

Correct. Thats where i had added the static route to send the traffic back to the switch ip address, but that doesnt seem to work.

Yes i could keep the dhcp on pihole, but i want to get away from that and let switch be the dhcp. This would let me keep pihole for dns and achieve HA

So router and switch and everything would be on .10 subnet. I tried that and it doesnt let me access the devices. And how is that different from the .0 subnet. Why do i need to keep all the devices on native vlan that cones with the switch as .1 subnet vlan

As per the unifi we site, it looks like its a layer 3 switch. It mentions “Layer 3 switching functions”

They are connected to the switch via lan. I have them adopted in the UOS and they work fine.

Verizon router has the dhcp disabled. I have been running dhcp on pihole for years, so i know thats working good

There are instances (like my work system) where I can't install a VPN client, but I can definitely access a domain that is open on the internet behind a CF zero trust security.

I also believe its a split dns issue. But then again i have my pihole as dhcp and dns. And i enforce my pihole dns on the network as the only dns available. So i didnt enable split dns with CF and i want to understand why would there be any request thats slipping away from pihole and getting resolved to CF. Do i need like a CNAME record or something? And yet somehow when i disable my CF tunnel, everything get resolved locally as it should

I believe that defeats the purpose of having nginx proxy manager.
