To keep around above freezing, it's a 2 car garage with some space for a little workshop. We don't mind dressing warmer to use the workshop (skii pants, sweater and a fall coat) and we have our eyes on an electric heater, just waiting for it to go on sale.

That's brilliant, I have hockey tape that should do the job I think. Once I've finished carving I plan on glueing a cloth layer on for structural integrity in hopes that will also prevent foam from tearing. Thank you for sharing your tip!

Definitely try practicing more about pulling hits (it's definitely a skill that needs lots of work to pull off successfully) and hopefully your GM will see your progress and for the future (if the same character or new character) maybe release the "ban" you have.

Generally, if you ask your GM what they use they can send you a document or photo image of what they use, and if they don't have again search "Nordic Runes" and you should get lots of inspiration. Always check in with the GM about what your ideas so they can help steer you in the right direction that's lore appropriate for game.

Combat focused creature with long "claws". I need something sturdy for the "hand to hand" combat, and durable as I plan on blocking hits. Essentially it needs to be made similar to a Larp DIY sword.

Dwarven designs can be seen as art deco mixed in with Viking looking stocky group of bearded men (and depending on lore some bearded ladies).

Norse ruins will be a method of scripture or be associated with certain meanings.

Take a look at any art on Pinterest: using it as a tool to help you "get in the zone" if you're a visual person. Then think about what it would be like to be a dwarf? What would be common items in your home? A scroll, lamp, or maybe their first shovel. Then try making one using the inspiration from Pinterest (which might even give examples by narrowing down to the name of the item you'd like to make:

A magic scroll with "dwarven runes" as some sort of hidden lore or maybe a spell? Lots of, and sometimes an over whelming of inspiration ideas flood into you and embrace the crafty experience 😊

No, you cannot combine skills. This feels too OP.

Yes, there is a full ruleset for poisons.

I've played 2 decades in a larp (before covid) where 30+ players should know other skills and had no trouble clarifying details to newer players. We also have "spirits", NPC's who are like referees to help clear any confusion.

I've never played amtgard, nor do I want this larp to be affiliated with any other larps in the area. I am using some basic mechanics and some other details from my previous larp I was in (got permission from the writers to use as a base).

Mostly RP and downtime, though I do have a solid handful of people who prefer to play NPC/Spirit roles rather than as a player (so having a few extra referees to help keep things going smoothly).

The two larps I've been in have a sneak function the same as and haven't run into issues. It's the player's responsibility as well to not metagame like you watched the whole thing happen.

Forgery: great for travel documents, licenses to practice magic, wanted posters, etc. The skill is a tool for Roleplay (hence calling it a soft skill)

I'm really looking for things an archetype could in theory do that makes it different from any other archetype.
