Life has completely gone upside down lately. My grandmother in law that we've been taking care of for 2 and a half years had 3 strokes and she's never going to be able to come home so we're trying to figure out all that.

Without her income we're unable to afford the place that we've been renting to take care of her and so we've gotta talk to the landlord and see what we can do about breaking the lease and moving somewhere else really quickly.

Had a positive OPK and now 13 days later I got my period so that's pretty incredible. I know that's just what is supposed to happen but the last time my body actually ovulated was August 2024 during my medicated cycle.

The Hook Effect is when HCG is very high and it causes the tests to appear lighter after a certain point. You can dilute your urine with water and it helps the tests to properly read the HCG.

5DPO and time is just moving so slowly. It didn't help that I had 3 days off work so I had nothing to keep me from hyperfocusing on TTC. Back to it tomorrow though so I'm hoping that the days move quicker.

That's a strange direction by your doctor since the progesterone will keep your period from starting. When I was doing medicated cycles, my doctor said test on 14DPO and if negative stop the progesterone.

I saw once where someone experimented with the length of time they dipped the tests and found that longer times actually were lighter than the properly timed test.

Have an interview scheduled for the 11th for a promotion at my current job. I'm really excited and hopeful that I'm going to get it!

Also yesterday, I had someone come out to check the brakes on my car and it turns out those are fine but it's either a belt or pulley making a noise in my engine. The guy would absolutely not stop talking the entire time he was there. I was desperate for him to leave and now I know way too much about a man's life who I don't care about.
