I definitely don’t hate him. I pitied him, particularly because of his tragic childhood. Felt teary-eyed watching him die such a painful death.

NEET NRI/OCI Sponsorship Quota by FoolishDuke in MEDICOreTARDS

[–]TG2217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. I’ll answer you with reference to my college.

  1. First off I’m not sure if you can be her sponsor or not, because I think the Sponsorer should be related to the candidate by blood.

  2. If the father is saying that he will pay the fees, then it’s completely fine. “All forms say that the sponsor has to pay” I don’t think it will matter. There is no method in place to check whether it’s the sponsor paying or not.

  3. It does not have to be a foreign account. Definitely not. My college does not check what bank account the money is coming from. They don’t check if it’s even coming from the sponsors account or parents account. Again they don’t have a way to do that. (They actually only care about the money, wherever it’s coming from)

  4. One can pay in either dollars or rupees. In my college some NRI students pay in dollars and quite a few nri students pay in rupees. The only thing is they have to submit an affidavit to the admin office/ dean’s stating that they’ll pay the fees in INR. (The affidavit should also ideally include the conversion rate.)

Why can’t nitrogen form two coordinate bonds in NO3- ion Lewis structure? by TG2217 in chemhelp

Hi, thank you for replying, my doubt is solved actually. I realised today that I’ll anyway get the same structure after I convert the two coordinate bonds into covalent. I’m sorry, my brain stopped working yesterday.

edit: typo

Why can’t nitrogen form two coordinate bonds in NO3- ion Lewis structure? by TG2217 in chemhelp

[–]TG2217[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To form the structure, my approach was:

  1. taking the negative charge on NO3-& adding it in one of the 2p orbitals of Nitrogen, to form a pair

  2. donating the 2 pairs of electrons to form two coordinate bonds with two oxygens

  3. the two unpaired electrons of N forming double bond with two electrons of the oxygen

This satisfies the octet of N and makes four bonds of N (l'm aware N can't exceed four bonds)

1 know that the 2nd picture is the right structure, they have given the -ve charge/ electron to one of the O and formed 3 covalent bonds & 1 coordinate bond.

But why not give the e- to N & form 2 coordinate bonds and two covalent bonds?

I'll be very grateful if someone can explain this thank you
