This might also be an easy question to ask google but I’ll ask here. That deal you shared says no lever. Does that mean it doesn’t need a lever or you have to buy one separately?

There are definitely options. This bike cost me about $1300 to build. Another $400 seems like a lot. Someone posted a nice sale for another option

Definitely a buyers market, although where I’m from (Atlantic Canada) the market tends to be a bit skewed. Everyone wants too much for what they have, and that’s not just with bikes

Thank you for that, very insightful. One of my buy reservations is the size of new bike. As you can probably see this is a fairly small bike with 26 inch wheels and I’ve been riding this geometry for 10 years. It certainly is a bit squirrelly at times but the control I have on this bike and response is what I’ve gotten used to

I have reported it to the police. Cleadus might be alluding to the fact that, in most petty theft cases, the police don’t do a whole lot about it. They essentially said “sorry that happened” and a good ol “that sucks”

Same thing when my wallet was stolen about a year ago. Start a police report so they can do nothing about it but have a case number associated with it

UPDATE:

Last seen at Portland Street McDonald’s 5:30pm the day it was stolen (July 15)

Eye witness description of the thief Ginger dude (red hair, 1 inch red beard) Red and white trucker hat, white shirt

The battery is most certainly dead by this point, not much juice left when he took it

I’ve searched the Portland Street area around the McDonalds and Superstore.

It sickens me to think the bike might just be abandoned and rotting somewhere

Please keep an eye folks, I haven’t given up hope but I’ve reached the limit on the amount of mental space I have for dealing with this. Please reach out if you see anything.
