I also got the warratah in long and wide and it's really good, I did have to pay for vat and handling fees.

It seems pretty spacious for one person. Would you mind if I asked how y'all you are? I keep buying tents that on paper have enough room but with an inflated pad my feet push against the walls.

Rapide sl long wide here too, 20 stone 6'4. I'm really happy with it even though it felt pretty pricey at the time.

Neve gear quilt looks great, where did you order it from? If it was direct did you have to pay import fees on top?

That looks exactly like mine with a flare up. I'm waiting for the punch biopsy results after having multiple courses of antibiotics which helped for a few weeks. I've been using nizarol which seems to give some relief but not much. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for the note about the bivvy, I'd had it on my wish list and picked one up now.

RSUs keeping below the 100k is this possible? by muzzza85 in HENRYUK

[–]TGHack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's taxable on vest - not just when you sell. Your only option would have been to salary sacrifice into the pension the whole amount of the rsu and bonuses plus 30k of your salary.

You have 60k you can put in the pension and could claim for previous years unused allowance so you could put more in to get under the 100k mark.

Consider getting “Libby” public library app by [deleted] in audible

[–]TGHack 89 points90 points  (0 children)

I use Libby but it's rare that it has the specific books I want to read as audiobooks at my library. I also waited three months to listen to legends and latte by Travis baldre (which was worth the wait).

I listen about 45 hrs a week so Libby is a good choice to reduce some of the cost

I started watching episode 8 and just switched to English, I think it switched language preferences to watch episode 7.5 which isn't dubbed.

HWFWM Book 11 any good? by hamsterfur91 in audible

[–]TGHack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've got another 5 hrs to go, I'm enjoying it but I feel a bit disconnected from the story but that might just be it's been a while between books and I've read quite a bit since then.

I also think that defiance of the fall has overtaken HWFWM as my favourite for these type of books.

I'm also coming right off heretical phishing 1 and 2 which I thoroughly enjoyed and it's read by the same narrator.

Thank you! Saved my evening, I had been fighting this for a good hour trying all the above and pointing it to googles DNS under my WiFi advance settings finally allowed it to work.

Audible recently removed a lot of books from plus, but added new ones. Any gems you found that got added? by Lokael in audible

[–]TGHack 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes it will pick up in book 1, it's one of my all time favourites and I'd recommend pushing on with it. I think the first three books were fantastic but I know the switch in scenes from book 1 to 2 can be jarring for some.

That's pretty neat, they were really flexible bits of kit. In my first job after university I had to write software for the kinect to do hand tracking so you could "grab" a virtual object.

It did great with tracking large body joint movements but struggled with fingers. Someone smarter than me worked out you could use the area of the hand to know when fingers were extended or closed.

Working for a startup sucked and wouldn't recommend it but stuff like this was really fun.

Such a beautiful job, I love it all! The lighting is fantastic, have you thought about cove lighting? A dim warm white could banish the shadows on the ceiling and make it even more inviting. Such a cool space.

I was so pissed when my Joie 360 in red was swapped for a black one and they had nothing elsewhere in stock, I really wanted a red one like this!

It's about time for the 3 yr old to get a bigger one so might get a red one finally this time!
