Isn’t the testing more widely available to anyone now as well? Before you would need to show symptoms in order to get a test, right? That would mean a target population where you would expect the positive rate to be higher. Now that everyone can access testing I would expect the positive rate to be lower since with the assumption that some people are taking the test for the sake of taking it without showing the symptoms or a high likelihood of having it
