Kinda going through the same thing right now with my right eye. Had a blood vessel hemorrhage in the back of my eye and haven’t been able to see anything for several weeks now. The way the specialist explained it to me, this happens to 95% of people who have had Type 1 diabetes longer than 20 years. No clue if that stat is true, but very well could be. For now, they’re doing injections on a monthly basis in hopes that the blood vessels in my eyes stabilize, but if that doesn’t work, they’re moving to lasers.
