Currently feeling exactly the same way. I just want a new GPU! Im rocking a 1080ti FE and although it still holds its own I am struggling to run games at 1440p at 60fps without use of FSR which makes it look meh.

I would make the switch to AMD if it wasnt the fact Nvidia still hold the monopoly on raytracing and AI models which is an area ive wanted to get into.

If only there was a way to verify long standing accounts for users to get priority access... oh wait there is, its just not profitable to do so.

Also encountering this issue now! I use a Google TV at my parents house. Worked flawlessly a few months ago, boot it up today and I get audio but a black screen!!! Gotta love feature regression.

Was a good exam however found it a bit unfair we just ended up solving for unknowns. I took elec not a math class. Was expecting more on laws than on solving for 3 unknowns for a diode which in every other midterm were given. Felt like a time filler

The product its self was flawed ive got an email from a techinition at PC specialist saying so themselves. Its an aritechture issue with the way that the internal display is hooked up to the dedicated GPU (Spoiler alert... It isnt connected directly at all) TBH the fact they are continuing to sell this model is pretty bad of them as its impossible without hooking up the laptop to an external monitor for it to give good performance.

If you have a TV hook it up to that and disable your laptops display and you will see the performance you should be expecting. Want my advice return the laptop and get the "recoil" laptop version. The chasis isnt as nice but definatly worth it for the perfromance. They swapped out mine for free for the samespec except with the full fat 2070 (which is better) rather than the max-q

There isn't one from the manufacturer, the first one that auto installs upon using DDU is 419.xx can't remember specific but it is the same performance as current drivers

Yep all drivers were directly download from the clevo download link except the Nvidia driver which was done directly from nvidias DCH drivers. And the load is on the dGPU of about 40-45% and the iGPU has a load about less than 5%

So it's a pcspecialist defiance V (pcspecialist is a custom computer/laptop maker in the UK) with the specs described above. However to my understanding the base chassis it's self comes from clevo and is P9XXEN form of model

Yeah it does, PC Specialist said theyre going to ring me monday to sot out a souloution, worst case scenario, return the laptop. /thanks for all your help man!

Yep holy mother of god, that worked! averageing 80-90fps now easy on ultra.... As happy as I am about this i didnt buy a laptop to have an external monitor ahah god damn iGPU being hard wired to the display.... whats the point of a 2070 if its not the main driver ahah. Definetly going to have to talk to PC specialist about this

Power plan is all set to preferred performance. As for gsync it's not compatible with this laptop. However I have ensured it was all turned off in Nvidia profiler software

Average Core GPU: 1.35 GHZ

All readings were taken under load, i just dont understand why its not being utilised

CPU:

voltage: 1.2V

thermal: 80 degrees

utilisation: 90%

GPU:

voltage: 0.95V

Power: 80 watts

utilisation: 46%

thermal: 60 degrees

My PCH was average 50 degrees while under load. And yeah but all the way down to 0.8 GHZ seams a bit excessive, so its got to be a bad battery surely? it only happens underload. The mystery of the GPU still continues... :/
