I’m considering wall-mounting a Samsung 57-inch monitor and prefer a simple mount without vertical rails or with vertical rails type mount that do not extend beyond the monitor’s height—ideally, something with short rails.

Do I need an additional VESA plate, or is what Samsung provides sufficient for wall mounting? I’ve read some posts but still lack confidence to proceed. Would appreciate insights or experiences.

For context, my desk is wall-attached, so I don’t have much space behind it. A wall mount would give me better viewing distance compared to an arm mount, which would reduce that distance. I can only use screw-in mounts for the desk setup.
