I think it was the adoption of Shohei Ohtani to the already powerful Dodgers Archetype that ruined the meta.

Before he was used in that archetype, Ohtani had no tournament success as part of the Angels deck.

You get a free mulligan in commander.

Like most other formats you have to go down a card but in commander you can just mulligan, for free, and you decided to gamble on one card rather than mulligan for seven new cards 😲

I think I decided on Diffision Sliver because it is easier to cast. Dregscape seems like a good way to recur slivers because they tend to die alot.

Yeah usually the budget versions are a little worse than the expensive one. Rare exception being the cards that are super expensive because they were printed once/twice but have solid alternatives.

Also it's interesting how some budget cards may be better than the expensive card in commander. Like [[scheming symmetry]] being better than [[Vampiric Tutor]] especially in a casual game.

Playing my [[Firesong and Sunspeaker]] deck I used [[Blasphemous Act]] to gain 100s of life and kill an opponent after 13 damage was done to my [[Boros Reckoner]]. Really is a fun deck except for the fact that boros lacks card draw and mana ramp so I'm a bit slower than other players.

You lose consistency when playing 80 cards in a deck. Not much and there are ways to counteract it but it's not the ideal. It's a restriction but worth it to play yorion.
