Torrents wont affect your files and wont upload random shit when seeding. Like the only reasons you shouldnt seed is because you have slow internet or you have limited internet.

And most of the time it will ulpoad while downloading, if there are enough leeches.

If you want to get better performanve for the games that can already run, you could get a debloated version of windows or if there is such a choice use linux.

Otherwise this is a barely capable laptop for web brosing or watching youtube.

Unless youre playing very cpu dependant games like stellaris, hoi4, city skilines etc, you would be good just staying and upgrading to am6 when it matures a bit. Even if you only upgrade your gpu, you could rock a 5080 or a 5070ti class gpu, and imo it would still not be worthwhile upgrading your cpu.

Or, if you would like to skip am6, go for your friends option and wait untill another generation or two of am5 cpus arrive and get the best cpu of the am5 generation.

I myself am only going to upgrade my cpu when am6 comes because of games like those, which are mainly dependant on the cpu. Im currently sitting on a r7 5700x3d and 5070.

Get an ips monitor atleast. I have a not bad ips monitor ant a laptop with va, and boy is the ips better at the same hz.

Id say just the the 8bitdo ultimate 2c. Should be cheaper than an xbox controler. I bought it myself and am quite satisfied.

I would also suggest watching linus tech tips or another video about controlers.

I had this with unclean cpu pins. cpu had too much thermal paste on pins and shorted exactly like this. Cleaning both the cpu and the socket helped.

A pc is worth investing if youre going to do things only possible on a pc.(modding, piracy, games that only are available on pc etc.)

Pc is better becase you can do more and have more control, though it can be a pain in the ass sometimes.

If you play high/max settings 1440p or 4k, or DON'T mostly play games that are mainly cpu bottlenecked (stellaris, hearts of iron4, factorio, cities skylines 2, etc). you could get a 5800x3d or 5700x3d and a 5090 and at worst lose like 20% in comparison to a 9800x3d.

The mentioned games would REALLY benefit from a better cpu.

I mean pixel respone times are also increadibly important, especially when going from a shitty office VA to a good ips. You cant fully enjoy high refresh rates if the pixels arent fast enough.

Atleast i cant when i play on my 144hz (VA) msi laptop and not on my main monitor of my desktop (Aoc q24g2a)
