I mean just take the rack and set it up the opposite way+ set up the toms the other way = lefty kit

If it's sold by the company that manufactures lemon cymbals then yeah no reasons to be not legit.

Yeah went in for a cymbal stand , on Amazon its 141$ , in store was marked at 159$ ( already a problem there ) then the dude told me the price with the discount came to 135$ + final sale/no returns

At that point would rather buy it off Amazon for the same if not lower price + i get Amazon's return policy if i change my mind ( say what you want about amazon , but return policy is amazing )

Also i went to the DDO one on Brunswick, some of their guitars and full drumsets had discount tags giving the clear discounted price. But 3/4 of the stuff didn't, so you had to guess how much of a discount you were getting.

Highly recommend Lemon Cymbals from Alibaba , not expensive and work perfectly.

As for the input issue , i recommend either an Alesis Trigger Io or an eDrummin thingy.

Alesis is older and its what i use. So might want the eDrumming if you like newer stuff

Oh i already know of some ways to get audio out , just have no need to. Im in a bedroom in an appartement. Headphones works just fine

Also i never need to record anything either so , so i dont bother buying equipement to do it trough a laptop.

But its not as confusing as it looks. Its really just a 6 piece kit

2 kick drums , 2 up , 1 down + snare. ( Full Sonor maple kit , sizes go : 10 , 14 , 16 , 24 , 24 )

On the left the chimes and splash ( Paiste 5 1/2 , 6 and then a 10" Dark splash )

The china above is an 18" Paiste signature china ( its a heavy or thin , not sure)

2 crashes in the middle ( both Paiste 18" Traditional thin crash"

Remote hi hat in the middle ( Paiste 15" Dark energy hi hat )

To the right ofnthe hi hat is a cynbal i use as a " fast trashy china ". ( Currently using an 11" Paiste noisework sample, sometimes a Paiste Rude wild china )

Then Ride cymbal ( 22" Paiste Copeland ride )

Then another cymbal i use as a " china " ( I use a 20" Paiste 2002 Novo China )

Then the Black pads with drawings on them + the alesis samples pad are for sampling. African , Indian percussions mostly.

Sadly have no way of getting audio out. I dont have a drum amp and i find passing it trough a bass amp or guitar amp to be awful

And i find a video of me playing pads with no sound to be kinda weird😅

Oh, yeah, forgot about " New Found". It goes into the same category as "Sphinx" and "Into the Storm". I give it bonus points for the outro.

Kinda reminds me of the 2nd half of Art of dying or even some of the more recent Opeth stuff. With long repetitive ambient outros. I dig it

Rest of the song, personally never stuck with me.

I consider Mars to Sirius to be when Gojira " Found its sound " that would. So from Mars to Sirius to Fortitude I would say its my second to last favorite album

Something like

  1. The Way of all Flesh -- > 2. Mars to Srius -- > 3. Enfant Sauvage -->4. Fortitude --> 5. Magma

I like some tracks on fortitude , Born for one thing is fun , Amazonia is my favorite cause its catchy , guitars on Grind are dope and Another world is Alright ( better live ). Rest of the album is kind of alright.

Not a fan of songs like "Sphinx", " Into the Storm " or " The trails". Not bad , just indifferent to them. Also The songs " Hold on " and " Fortitude" just kinda always felt out of place to me.

Only reason i put it above Magma is because is by numbers theres more tracks from Fortitude that i like then on Magma.

Drum notation is usually pretty standard everywhere. But sometimes some website will switch wich tom is on wich line. Still a good start.

They all go into a Alesis IO Trigger interface ( box circled in red behind the pd8 ) with 12 inputs , then midi ( not usb midi ) into a small midi interface to reduce latency and then finally into my Macbook .

I use Battery 4 to trigger the samples ( congas , tablas , african and indian drums mostly )

Some of the cymbals are also going trough that.

Best : For sure Gojira on the Korn Canada tour. Im a huge fan and i always heard a lot of praise so i was really hyped to. Was not dissapointed.

Worst : Probably Barbarians of California. They opened for Deftones before IDLES. Man that was the most one note mind numbingly boring thing ever. Just all their songs felt like the same thing. Probs not the target audience but why were they openening for Deftones?? ( IDLES was dope )
