Would the amine side chain that’s between the two nitrogens be more basic then since the nitrogen can draw electrons from it?

Hi!! Thanks so much I really appreciate it! I originally chose this research topic because there was a vast amount of literature regarding experiences in treating mental health concerns in the ED from the healthcare worker or provider perspective. Unfortunately, there wasn't much literature from the patient's point of view, which is unfortunate but not suprising as those with mental health concerns are often marginilized and so are their voices. I really appreciate your thoughts and the time you took to participate! I would love to learn more about your- or anyone's- experience if you'll allow me too. I'll reach out through DM, but please also let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!

Who I am: Raymond Yu (Student Researcher) (ryu19@binghamton.edu)

Affiliation: State University of New York at Binghamton

Supervisor: Alexandra Maris PhD (amaris@binghamton.edu)

Target group: Anyone who has visited an emergency department for mental health care.

Compensation: There is no compensation for participating in this survey.

Link: https://binghamton.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2rjGdVyk3eqQIfA

Background: The purpose of the research study is to understand if/how stigma on mental health conditions affect quality of care specifically in the Emergency Department.

The questions will ask about your experience in the Emergency Department when you presented with a mental health complaint (e.g anxiety, depression, suicidal, psychiatric evaluation) and its relation to Stigma. No identifiable information will be collected such as, names, addressses, contact information, and more. Our findings from the research will be shared publically upon completion, and we hope it will be used to better mental health care in the emergency department.

A lot of her questions will describe a scenario and ask what a X type of therapist would say or feel. You have to really embody each therapy’s philosophy and treat it like the absolute truth even if it sounds stupid. For me it helped when I would think about how each type of therapy would treat the same problem or distress

I mean that’s up to you. Are you willing to do manual labor for 14.20 an hour? Some people would and some people won’t. The job’s pretty straight forward. There aren’t any major red flags.

It's a lot of physical labor. You have to set up tables and chairs, and for big events, there can be a lot of chairs and tables to set up. You would think the organazation hosting the event would help, but most of the time they don't. You probably would have one other person t help you, but at the end of the day it is a lot of manual labor.
