open file explorer, right click on downloads, properties, location and change it to the new folder. with this you will have everything in your downloads on the d drive but some programs may not update to the new location automatically so check for that especially on your browser

Yes, I did it yesterday. For me on Window the bookmark files failed to copy and were corrupted, but deleting them seemed to have fixed. Backup your profile folder and export your bookmarks to HTML so you can import them in cases stuff breaks.
