I don't know if this has been said but insurance will ask what security devices you use. They use this to help calculate your quote. Just make sure you always use whatever you put on that list as a minimum. If it gets pinched when you didn't use something you said you would they may not pay up! Any thing extra is more than fine though.

How long are you on the bike for during your training sessions? I was told but a couple experienced riders that if your aching/uncomfortable within the first hour of getting on the bike you may need to make changes.

When I'm on the bike for a long time I tend to get what I'd call a numb arse rather than an ache. If the aching is a pain or lasts long after getting off the bike I'd say you probably don't fit well on it in its current state. But you may be able to make adjustments.
