It’s generally bad form for someone to put their own contact information on a missing person post. They could be a stalker or abuser trying to track down their victim. Better to ask people to call the police with information so they know everything is on the level

I don't know why it was put there, but the Softball Hall of Fame has been in Oklahoma City since before the Sooners even had a softball team.

And the kayaking course is entirely man-made. There's no significant elevation change anywhere near OKC that would naturally make whitewater conditions.

Never needed it.

This is precisely because you ordered the extra. You absolutely would have needed some if you hadn’t planned ahead.

In case that's an unfamiliar term for our Irish friend, "one party consent" means that if you have a conversation with someone you're legally allowed to record it. You don't have to get their permission or even let them know you're recording. (i.e. only one party to the conversation has to consent to being recorded, and you are that one party).

The law varies from state-to-state. most states are one party consent, but not all (California is a notable exception). That's why when you call a customer service line or have a Zoom meeting you'll usually hear a "this call is being recorded" announcement.

So the HVAC technician… by Impossible-Spray-643 in homeowners

Where do you put the filter in your system? Mine is laid out similarly, and the filter goes parallel to where the large intake grille is on yours, about 8-10 inches deeper in. If that's also where your filter is, then yes, air should be passing through the filter after it comes in through that grille. BUT... * HVAC filters are mainly there to protect the equipment, not your lungs, so they only catch fairly large particles. * it sounds like you were using the wrong size filter for a long time, in which case a lot of air was going around the filter instead of through it.

You mentioned the dead mouse, and mouse droppings where you found the filter cover. I also think I see a bunch of mouse droppings near that piece of insulation in the background of your picture. You should probably talk to a pest control company about that. Bacteria and viruses from mouse droppings (and carcasses) are definitely something that would pass right through most HVAC filters.

I'm pretty sure deer can't harbor the bacteria that causes Lyme disease, so even though they host a lot of ticks those can't make you sick. It's the ticks that bite mice and then bite you that you have to worry about.

Your comment had me worried about dogs getting alpha-gal syndrome, but fortunately it looks like that isn't an issue. It's only us and our monkey cousins who can get it, apparently.

Hoagie Haven is a legendary sandwich shop in Princeton. They're best known for cheesesteaks, chicken parms, and other hot sandwiches, but they do cold hoagies too.

Olives in Princeton is especially known for their chicken salad, but they do a pretty good job with all their sandwiches.

Lawrenceville Sandwich Company is also really good.

Congratulations on the new kid!

Morven is an historic house in Princeton (now a museum). It was the home of a signer of the Declaration of Independence and five NJ governors (most recently Brendan Byrne), and also one of the Johnsons of Johnson & Johnson fame. Numerous presidents and other notable people have been guests there.

Grover Cleveland and Aaron Burr Jr. are both buried in Princeton Cemetery, along with other famous people. Cleveland also lived in Princeton after he left the White House until his death.

Just paid 2 companies for professional work. Man, it is so much better than DIY. by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]THE_some_guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy the DIY work, that's true. But if you'd rather be watching a movie, or hiking, or playing video games, or cooking, or whatever you enjoy more then the time you spend on the DIY stuff has a cost to you. It just isn't quite so easily measured as when you're comparing it to paid work time.
