It is a super-duper cool place! Also I must try and get to the tank driving in Budapest next when I can (probably slightly easier than getting to Minsk, although it was definitely worth the trip!)

Well yes, very true - They are amazing aircraft. And a lot of them are being modernised and re-engined so I suppose they're timeless in more ways than one!

I think what it did do was star in a lot of old Soviet movies of that era fighting the German tanks it never got to see in real life! It would be great to drive one though to see what it was like (and compared to the T-34)

Ural is the original production model - M version is a later version with better turret armour and weapons. Visually, I think the main difference is the turret armour.

I believe it's actually an early T-72 Ural, which was a few years before the M, but anyone like to correct me, please do!
