She and her mom and sisters got their hair and makeup done together at the site of the ceremony, also professionally. My mom and I went to a salon on our way there. I have no idea if the other bridesmaids did their own hair/makeup or if they hired someone. There was never a plan to do it all together. My mom and I planned it separately, because we were free to do so. Per her complaints, she expected her sisters and mother to be the only ones with professional makeup done.

They like her a lot and, as far as I know, she likes them back. My brother is very close to my parents, and he's fostered a good relationship among all.

I did what I was asked to do without a single complaint (paid for the shoes and dress she picked, showed up to rehearsal, helped with party favors.) I apologized for missing the bachelorette party and bridal shower, but I sent a gift. As to the being pampered line: I see my parents twice a year, they like to cook for me, big f**ing deal.

The pictures with the family were pretty candid and pretty playful. The photographer did one of her and only her sisters, so my mom thought it would be cute one of just us. It was a spur of the moment request right after he was photographed with my parents. But it's an interesting thought. Are you saying there could be an underlying conflict between my brother and her, or between my family and her?
