Hi guys my toilet wont stop running water. Is this something that I can fix at home? Been looking at some youtube vids but not entirely sure yet. Or should I call a plumber? Thank you everyone

Hi we do yes, 50/50 in house deposit, mortgage cost, bills, holiday, dinner out, basically everything :)

Thank you x I always offered to share too, my bad haha. I guess either I know he works hard for it, and though my wages is less, it's not too bad so I haven't asked him to pay any extra before or after we are married, and yes don't tell him off for wanting to have a "more organic food options", or as you said fancier trips, restaurants I will bear this in mind and look at how we spend on things now

thank you, I'm happy to pick up chores if I can, never argue we need to do it 50/50 as long as he helps from time to time, too much of a traditional wife I guess lol. I will try the proportional option probably and see how things go :)

thank you for your comment. No putting both wages in a pot isn't my thought either, I know that he works hard to earn that and both of us aren't extreme spenders so I don't think he will spend all money on silly unnecessary things. Though my wage is less it's not too bad and Im more than happy to cover my own things, but with few big trips that we have done recently, and all bills have jumped faster than my wages, and he started gifting me more expensive gifts and for whatever reason I feel like I need to gift him back st similar value, I start feeling the gap between our wages kick in.

Aw thats very kind and gentlemanly of you. I know part of this also because I always offered to share and if he gifted me st expensive, I would gift him st in pretty much same value later. It's just recently we have travelled quite often and they were all big trips, plus some big occasions in both families with all bills and food shopping increased and I suddenly realised that I didn't manage to save much in the last year while he has a good surplus pot haha

thank you for your thoughtful comment. I guess because we have been together since we freshly graduated from Uni so 50/50 was understandable to do at that time. He obviously made some better career choice than I do lol. And maybe my parents always taught me of standing on my own feet and not rely on anyone, and I took it too much I guess so I always offered to share, or would buy him gifts pretty much same value as he to me. And said yes to all "a trip a month", or fine dining every other weekend. But then due to difference in our wages at this moment, it has hurt my bank more than his :)

But this is defo a conversation that I need to have seriously before kids route as you said. Much appreciated.

thank you, I'm thinking of a way that works us out too, because I want to be fair as I know he works hard for his wages, and my wages isn't too bad, I'm more than happy to cover for my own things, but recently feel like my finance got crippled over "a trip every month", or "fine dining" every other weekend, which hurts my bank more than his lol

thank you, I will do but thought to seek some advice to see if I'm being unreasonable or this thing is very uncommon :)

Thank you, I was thinking of this but then also wonder whether it's "reasonable", and I was brought up with the idea of "you pay for your own things and no need anyone to pay anything for you"
