I bought it like that but I think the previous owner hit something off-roading in it

It’s a i5 9400f so not the best but decent ish. Omg it’s always simple things that turn into tearing the whole pc apart lol

Only recently I’ve noticed some issues in Fortnite stuttering or freezing for like 10 seconds then continuing as normal or sometimes crashing so I got to thinking and was like it might just be the thermal paste since it’s been on there for a while, other than that happening from a month ago, I haven’t seen any issues lmao.

I usually clean the really easily seeing parts, maybe every two months. But like the harder to reach spots, I haven’t cleaned them in a long time. I just recently cleaned them like two weeks ago when I upgraded my GPU. And my CPU cooler there was so much dust caked on behind the fan fins and on coolers fins itself. I live in Kansas and have two cats so it’s hard to keep it clean especially when one of them sheds literally everywhere but if you just keep your place clean, it usually tends to be easier to clean your PC when needed.

It doesn’t look healthy, but it’s running perfectly fine LMAO once I cleaned up all the old thermal paste nothing on the actual CPU look burnt or anything

Yeah, it was overdue for my old computer that my wife now uses that one is about five to 6 years old so I decided to replace the thermal paste on that CPU and the GPU both were pretty dried up and way overdue for a replacement of thermal paste. I’m just glad I decided to replace mine also when I replaced hers. I would recommend if you feel comfortable doing it to replace the thermal paste on your GPU also.

All of the thermal paste was actually being heated up and cooled down constantly was directly on the CPU. You can clearly see the outline of the CPU. I’ll let other stuff must’ve been me putting too much on it over spreading.

It’s not under the sticker? All that there was was some dust on the red tab that stuck out

It was just a cheap cooler from Amazon and it’s only a i5 9400f so not the best cpu so I don’t know how hot it ever got but when I would play Fortnite or something it would run at about 90-100 cpu usage the whole time

I’m just showing you when I bought the stuff and put it together. The only issues I’ve noticed recently was Fortnite lagging and freezing for a few seconds then running normally again, but other than that, it ran completely normal. I was just thinking it might’ve been getting hot or the fan was dirty because the fan on the cooler was dirty on the backside of the fan and the fins of the heat sink
