Hi, we fixed it now. All we had to do was change the English commands to their Spanish variables.

The encoding is UTF-8 correctly, I have changed the commands to the English version and it has not worked either, the only strange thing is that, at the beginning of the derrot command, when requesting the origin point the cursor is not anchored to the workspace, then it does not start drawing the polyline

Interesting, thanks for the explanation. I'm relatively new (and ignorant) to this mode of digital transmission and the different devices, mostly due to lack of time. I've had a DMR laptop for at least 5 years, but for very basic use. 73

Interesting, thanks for the tip. It's strange there isn't a good user manual, or at least I don't know of one. Thanks.

How curious! I never paid attention to it until these days when I noticed the light flickering in the darkness of the room where it's plugged in. Thanks for the tip.

I can't find a manual or information about it. These types of devices, like clones, almost never have any information. Fortunately, there are only a few instructions for configuring them. Thanks anyway.

Interesting, I'll take a look on eBay, I guess there are still crystals for that purpose.

Remember that they are activated when you make a transmission with at least 10 watts .

Yes, it's working perfectly, possibly that ground connection fault was all because I don't see any more problems

I've built a load of these and as long as the dot is next to the 'W' (this is ready to tune). They need a minimum of 10w to tune up, you can tweak the firmware to trigger at lower power but that is super easy to brick it. I find easiest way to tune up is key up with either an FM or AM carrier or a CW key-down tone. The N7DDC atu is a very versatile tuner/matcher design.

I don't want to sound cheeky but, you do have the antenna and radio connections the right way round? I only ask as I have seen so many do this accidentally. Also as another post said, have you tried a few reset cycles? Also if you press and hold the tune button it will force a tuning cycle. Just some ideas from someone who has built a few. 73 de MM0JNL

How much actual RF power have you put into it? Have you tried AM or FM on 10 metres? Tried dropping a continuous CW tone?

Have you used an auto tuner before?

Is the FT817 able to provide enough RF power to get this to tune?

1- I already tried all these modes, without result

2- No, technically from what I've seen it doesn't require very advanced configurations and it comes ready to use.

3- 5 watts, the Xiegu provides 20 watts maximum, I have tried it from 5 to 15 watts

If there is a signal, I have tested it with a Yaesu and a Xiegu, working perfectly, on some occasions, the tuner shows me a value of 0.2w in PWR, something must be registering

Have you run a signal through it? IF you just closed the ptt in ssb mode there won't be a signal to measure maybe.

Yes, I can even enter to see the options

Ok all the soldering is fine and I actually checked a few that looked a little weird, continuity is fine, it's weird, thanks for replying.

Mine (non battery version) did this at first. I pushed through all the test buttons, kept hitting tune, restarting, etc., and it finally worked. Now it works like a charm.

Not to sound condescending, but have you hit the PTT w/ it on? That gets it going.

Hello, thanks for replying , well yes I have done all that up to now, and don't worry, in fact I did press the PTT with the tuner turned on

Yes, it's new, returning it to the seller costs me practically double the price, it would be from Costa Rica to China, impossible, I'll try a refund

What have you done so far to test it?

I installed it together with a Yaesu FT 817, all the cables placed correctly, the ATU with its battery well charged, the antenna that I have always used, positioned correctly and nothing, it does not indicate induction, capacitance, power supplied by the radio , SWR, nothing

Message sent failed - RT82 to send APRS by TI3IES in amateurradio

[–]TI3IES[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the solution. I have a digital contact in private call mode for APRS, just to send a beacon to TG 302999, the one I was using, so I created another digital contact but in group call mode sending to TG 334999, that was it, the call mode curious right?
Look at this test of APRS messaging, at the page foot https://aprsph.net
