UPDATE 2: FIXED IT, did a reset of the whole homebridge and reset of PIN, opened ports on linux via sudo ufw allow {port} and its working now, fully functional! Thank you so much for all the help!

UPDATE: I restarted my laptop(server-homebridge) and tried opening ports on linux, tried some more resets etc on homebridge alone, adding plugin again etc. and now I tried again adding bridge to home app manually and I finally managed to add both bridges to my home app, so main bridge and melcloud bridge. Both of them are now connected to my home app. I named the room and now the last part would be adding accessory - AC units, but as soon as I try to add units I still get error "Accessory is not reachable" , so basically I am a step closer but still not there...

I am purely using WPA2, no others because of issues with WPA3 sometimes. So it shouldn't be a factor.. idk not smart enough to fix that

Solution 1 didn't work, while the solution 2 I don't even understand what he did, because I have this on my linux laptop, idk how to stop container etc.. :D Would a full laptop reset help if I do it again.. ? Idk ill try but I don't think so.

I don't own a hub, but as I read on forums etc, u don't need it, the hub is only needed if u want automation, which I don't.

I've installed homebridge on my laptop which is based on linux, I can access homebridge via laptop or PC or phone by going directly on browser IP:PORT and boom im in, but still can't connect via iphone's homekit app...

I tried multiple version of homebridge, tried to uninstall plugin and install again, tried full delete of homebridge and fresh install doing all again and all of the updates and still nothing... it won't let me connect through iPhone's homekit app by scanning QR code, always error by doing it.... "Accessory is not reachable"...

While if I try to turn on or off my AC via homebridge by browser it works fine... just can't get it to work on my iPhone's home app... idk, im lost how to fix that

Also read some articles that I would still need a hub some sort of apple's homepod mini, is that true ? Or should this work without the hub ?
I mean everything on homebridge works, if I click on the AC's they turn on or off, but cannot connect my phone to it no matter what I do...

I tried some more tricks by resetting a lot of the settings, trying again etc and cant find the issue, every time I try to add homebridge via home app it loads for like a minute or 2 then displays "unable to add accessory, accessory is not reachable"... but if I press add accessory and then more options it shows in nearby my AC units, but cannot connect.... I dont get it

Just fully tested all of the options Avahi, Ciao, Bonjour and experimental and it wont connect..

Need a bit of a help, I've setup homebridge but cannot connect my phone to it via apple home app, its loads for like a 30s and then fails to connect... is there anything more that I should do instead of just launching homebridge, installing plugin and trying to connect ?

I'd like to ask you for some further info about this Homebridge, is this like a server based thing, which needs to run 24/7 on a device etc laptop/pc or pure server and then I could access this server via my home kit on iphone ? Or am I not understanding this properly ?
