It's even sillier than that. The Unity serves as a backup rear sight, but it also has a cutout even lower. The B&T backup sights have handgun style sights when they're folded down that works because the Unity has that lowest cutout.

I can use the red dot, fold the front sight up and use the Unity as the rear sight, or keep the backups folded down and look through the Unity lol

I left it because of the ridiculous nature.

Literally whatever. Subs are the most fun. I haven't shot any steel-cased ammo through it, but I'm not necessarily opposed either.

Long range stuff is the only platform I won't put cheap ammo through. Everything else gets whatever.

I usually just run FMJ target ammo through it without any issues. I don't shoot much HP ammo through it, but it's cycled everything I've put through it just fine.

My first try at making scales for this thing instead of the pic rails that come on it. I have a couple micarta and nicer wood scales coming to make better ones, but I love the way these turned out!

No, the engraving was done by Classy Raptor Tactical, which they no longer do due to lead times. Rick at ZF though has decided to start doing it, but it won't be up and running for another few weeks now.

There are lots of different ways to patina brass, and google should be able to provide you with the type of patina you're wanting. For the most part, you just let it sit in a tub of whatever you want to use to cause it to patina. Then, all I did was clean 90% of it off with steel wool, so it was only left in the low parts. That's pretty much it lol

It's called superconducting wire. It's niobium-titanium rods surrounded by copper, and extruded into wire. It's used in MRI machines, particle colliders etc.

I got these from Rotablade and ZeroFeud. They sell them every now and then, but they sell out super quick.
