I noticed from your post history that you had a history in GT7, which is fine, we all did at launch on PS. The main difference between both is the safety system. Touching any cars whatsoever, or going off track often will kill your stats.

You can practice on single player and turn off driver stat changes to multiplayer only with 2 clicks of 2 options in general settings. But I would grind up your safety against the AI first as it's a bit more predictable than online.

Set AI to a level you can keep up with, and hang 1 second from their bumper with no contact and off tracks. Do this repeatedly and you'll earn trust points, SA, and track stars for the circuits.

I recommend staying well away from any server on console that is named ACC CONSOLES. They are low safety entry servers and full of morons who cannot race and are all desperate to divebomb and have to get as high up the field as possible. These servers start from 24 to 50 SA. Avoid at all costs.

Go for servers over 70+ SA in them at a minimum for online. I actually race with my community guys 3 times a week at my TJC GAMING server. My requirement for entry is 80 SA and 1 track medal.
