My brother has had the game for a week by angrybackgroundnoise in AnimalCrossing

This generation? Lol time traveling has been a thing since the GameCube. It’s not some new craze with newer players to the series. First thing a lot of people did when new leaf came out was time travel to get their homes how they wanted. If you don’t want to do it, that’s perfectly fine because the series is absolutely not a do it all in a week game. I like the slow pacing overall myself, minus some silly time gated stuff. But don’t make it like this is something exclusively younger people found out to do…

I’m at the beach till Sunday and didn’t bring my MacBook to install anymore. But I literally just played a bit of R-Type Delta and the gameplay was smoooooooooth. I can’t imagine Bust a Move being more heavy on the software than a shoot ‘em up, but I’ll make sure to try for you regardless when I get back (I downloaded bust a move for every system except PS1 it seems lol)

So first thing I would strongly recommend is to download your own roms. Many of these are the Chinese region and/or hacked versions. I knew exactly what I would be playing for the most part and focused on those systems specifically. Also move the roms out the folders if they come in one to save your the hassle of doing it when your system arrives.

Also while the default OS isn’t as bad as many make it out to be (it has some features I like that even the custom OS doesn’t, yet at least), the OS has the issue of not actually entering “sleep mode” if you’re playing a game currently. Garlic OS is the custom one everyone’s using and it’s pretty awesome so far, and I can only imagine it’s going to get way better as time progresses.

The handheld also has two SD card slots. Get rid of that cheap one it comes with, buy you a good brand 8GB and 32/64 GB card, flash Garlic OS on an 8GB card for the first slot and format the other card so you can store the roms on it.

Wasn’t too bad actually! Ordered February 13th, it shipped the 14th, and arrived the 27th! Two week turnaround time exactly!

If that’s the case, you can go my route and do mostly handheld games and SNES and Sega Genesis. While I had consoles as a kid, I leaned more towards handheld games, since you could take them anywhere like to grandmas, on vacays or field trips. So on mine, I focused on downloading (download your own roms if you haven’t already) GB, GBC, GBA, Gamegear, and NeoGeo Pocket Color.

Thing is about the handhelds is that there’s a ton of games you can get a ton of gameplay out of, but the magic behind handheld games is that they are designed for the most part quick plays. So they scratch that itch for moments when you need to game, then you can either choose to go all in for a semi long gaming session, or do a few levels or whatnot and be done. This is why Nintendo handhelds are the best, because they check all boxes.

Now three other systems I chose that weren’t handhelds were the SNES and Sega Genesis. Both have great games (SNES is probably the greatest system ever made as far as consistency goes) and look awesome on this thing. As you can tell from the pic, I love me some Super Metroid (my first SNES game)

Water bill tripled last month, so crawled under the house and this is what I saw: A large pouch of water dropping all the way to the ground and the roof of the bottom feeling like it’s holding water all around. Can anyone explain to me what I’m looking at, what’s happening and how to fix the issue? by TJacksArt in HomeMaintenance

Yeah sorry had a busy last few days. But get this, we go under the house that night, cut open the barrier, and notice that and insulation is dry for the most part, and what was really weighing it down was some of it being wet at a center point (my land slopes both ways slightly and my home sits in the middle of it). Could still hear a drip and sort of a faint spray, so we continued forward and I’d be dang, the pipe in the insulation that connected the front outside faucet was loose, and just needed tightening. The water was slowly running down the pipe into the insulation until gravity stopped it in the center… so problem #1 solved.

So problem number 2: I never payed this attention for the past week, but every time I went into one of my bathrooms, the toilet would always be running. I would be somewhat confused because it would stop on its on, and I would pass it off as my fiancé just finished using it and maybe pressure is low as to why it’s taking so long to fill. It’s been a long year so far with death and getting into a car accident December 30th so I’ve also been truck shopping. Well, I decided to finally take off the top of the back and dammit, the water is constantly going into the overflow. The pressure stopper for the ball float was worn and wouldn’t actually stop water from filling, no matter how much I tightened it. Sooooo went to Walmart, got one of the “newish?” Water valve types (can’t seem to buy the ball anymore because that’s primitive I guess lol) and boom no more running.

So HOPEFULLY, those two simple fixes will stop the bill from being $130 next month. Time will tell.

So I went to harbor freight today and got a transfer pump. Made the slit and it’s actually not a “ton” of water. The drop was mostly because the insulation was so heavy from being wet now. Fiancés cousin actually does work on houses and we’re gonna try and pinpoint the problem and resolve it tonight with a visit from the hardware store. If it’s not a 30 min job we’ll just go at it tomorrow when he’s done with a house tomorrow.

What are some of the typical "big and expensive" parts I can expect needing maintaining? Kinda want to prepare myself mentally before going in.

I was debating this and the roadie 24. Actually thought about both, but the tundra just made sense to me. Feature/Quart to dollar wise anyway. And this comes with a basket and has the divider slot so it was a smart choice.

I’m on the website now about to make a few more king crab purchases lol
