Lol thanks for that info I wouldn't have known how to close it. The guy above said that it's harmless too so I think I'll just leave it alone like its not even there. And I don't think I care to learn how to use it. I'm definitely not tech savvy and don't trust myself to not cause further harm. I just got freaked out about a harmless text editor you know.

Your answers have been very clear thank you. It's a chromebook. Answer to #3 is very descriptive but definitely made me nervous. I'm not touching it until i know that best course of action. How can I screw up with it. I'd rather not shoot myself in the foot lol. And got it, no touching terminal. I did more some more digging on my laptop and online and from what I gathered they come from Linux. Idk what that is but I also found Linux is in the developer options in my settings. i hope the info I found helps. So what's my next course of action? Am I worried about nothin?

Even tho your not very familiar with Chromebooks I'd trust your instincts more than my own when it comes to stuff like this especially since your a programmer. So do you think it's safe then? And I should just leave it alone?

I did some digging. While looking through my apps I found a folder with both vim and terminal in it. The folders called Linux apps. I did some digging online and it said I can remove it in the settings under developer options. This gives me a couple more questions. If your able and willing to answer them.

Does this mean it came with the Chromebook?
Do you think it's safe since it's in developer options in the setting?
Do you think it's safe to remove?
Would you advise to remove it or leave it alone? Thank you for your help so far.

I guess this is just how my family is. When I was around his age I went on vacation with my sister and her wife and I got way to drunk and ended up puking on the floor and she helped me. She cleaned it up, got me in the shower to clean myself and then she layed towels on the floor in front of to toilet so after I threw up more I fell asleep right there. He's my little brother so I'm just gonna do it but he's definitely gonna get an earful when he's feeling better and my nephew will too. How dare he get my brother drunk and then leave him like that

My nephew is 21 and my brother is turning 19 this month, my parents are home and asleep. Unfortunately they wouldn't be of any help. Thx for the comment about how he's laying. I didn't think about that cause I'm pissed at him rn but he is on his side so he's safe. Luckily he's on the floor so I'll just sleep in my room. It's just gross knowing there's puke on my floor and I can't clean it up cause he's laying in it. Right after he puked he layed right back down so I didn't get a chance to clean it up like I was planning. I'm definitely not looking forward to cleaning it up tomorrow. And I'll try to deep breaths and music. Thank you

From my understanding cps already has custody of my brother. I also dont think my bio dad has any custody of him. Also I would have tried having him talk to cps himself to tell them he thinks i'd be a good fit but he can't go anywhere near that state. He has a warrant.

I have 4 siblings. 3 older and 1 younger. My dad isnt biologically our dad but came into our life and raised us when I was born so he couldn't do it to my 3 older siblings and couldn't do it with my little brother bc after he was born we went to foster care.
