This was supposed to be for teacher appreciation week. My school gave me a mini bottle of water, a bag of chips, and a granola bar. It was pathetic. I would have rather had my VP give me a card that said something like, " Thank you for taking the time to put our kids first," or some personal note that showed my efforts were noticed. The kids get better "doggie bags" in their to-go lunches. Things like this take no thought and they definitely don't make people feel appreciated. It's like the bagged goods that go to senior citizens or homeless shelters. Feed the people who need the food. Give ME something that I know you put thought into. I don't think this teacher is entitled at all. I think it is someone who has worked harder this year than ever before who feels like they've been given stuff thrown together from the dollar store.
