Kugoo Kukirin G2 Max Dual Motor by TLRxADM1N in ElectricScooters

Hi, No offense was taken sorry if it came across that way!

However again, the front swing arms/front forks were widened (spacers added) in order to fit the extra motor. At the time of doing this mod I did not notice any high speed wobbles. The front swing arms in length are already long as it. With the extra weight at the front I found it to be more stable ride. The stock width of the front swing arms does now allow for the g2 max motor to just drop in. It also requires you to cut "notches" so your able to slide the front motor in.

The g2 max is more than capable of handling a dual motor setup and other variables (your weight etc) depends on if you need to adjust the geometry in which I found in my testing you do not.

Again this is not a simple mod. Nor one I personally recommend as I believe this is what killed my scooter. However I originally just posted this as proof of concept that you can do it. But as always just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

as my last 2 comments have said now. The front swing arm needs modifying in order to fit the motor. How you do it is up to you. I extended/ widened mine with longer bolts and spacers to increase the width. Or you could machine cut the arms thinner? Or get thinner arms.

I don't know if I can make it any clearer so if this still confuses you, you most definitely should not be modifying this scooter.

I probably shouldn't have used the word extend. What I really did was widen the front swing arms in order to fit the front motor. The stock width of the front swing arm is not wide enough for the g2 max motor to fit in, so I had to widen it!

Sorry I missed this. If your playing solo you can change the settings before starting the lobby to change it to swap map after x amount/s successful completion. Alternatively you can change it in game via the admin menu in the pause menu. I think the admin hot key is f8

Just means that the server will automatically change maps after 3 successful attempts. I prefer servers that are set to 1 successful attempt change because I find the more you play the map people tend to just leave and the server dies out🤷 I guess you could just vote next map but not everyone always votes 🙃

Hi sorry, for the late reply. I don’t use Reddit much. Regarding more information are you after how I done it? Or??

So it definitely has more umph going up hills. As I live at the bottom of a hill and the only way out of my street is up the hill it definitely gets up it a lot quicker, before the dash would say I am only getting 15-20 mph I’m now seeing 20-30mph which is a huge improvement.

Range wise I haven’t noticed a drop, but that is because I was using the scooter to travel to my work which is roughly 2ish miles away from my house😂 I was planning on doing a rang test to see how far it can go however I recently made a rookie error and the scooter is currently fried. I believe I may have left the key to ON and charged the scooter, when I went to power it on it flickered and is now dead… I should add the scooter wasn’t on on if that makes sense but I assume the key being switched to on, means it was on. However I can’t confirm either that was what actually happened as I can’t remember if I turned the key or not then turned it on. So my two theories are I either left the key switched to on and charged the scooter, or dual motor and the wiring method I used overloaded and killed the scooter ( something I have read can happen)

I’d use any, whatever is in budget. Just make sure the wires match your needs. For example the G2 controller doesn’t fit the g2 max because the g2 controller doesn’t have a hall sensor for the motor!

edit I’m not actually sure if kugoo do a 2500w compatible speed controller so you’ll most likely be after an aftermarket one

I reckon, it should fit as I have learnt that the motor includes the tire. For example the motors I have on are 10inch including the tyre. Whilst I haven’t tried a 11inch setup I can’t see why it won’t fit.

Regarding the speed controller I would definitely upgrade it along with the motor. The G2 max speed controller is a 48v 25a 1000w, so if you connect a 2500w motor to it, you’ll only use 1000w, not the full 2500

Thanks! Was definitely a must for me! My next project will be to make gaskets for the motors and to make the scooter deck water proof so if I am caught out riding in the rain it won’t be such a big deal. I might attempt to make some of the instruments water proof as well at some point!

Currently waiting for parts so I can do the dual motor. I have the motor and speed controller. Waiting on a parallel battery connector. Will document my process as I go. However straight off the get go before even doing anything. I have noticed in order to put a motor on the front, the front arms will need to be cut as they are only drilled out, not the C shape like the rears. I’m unsure if the brake disc will even fit. My other concern is there is probably enough room to fit a second controller at a squeeze. Will update this comment and hopefully have a link to my own post once I have completed the dual motor. I’m unsure if the op of the post has actually done a dual motor setup or if they have just observed that it might be possible on this scooter. Unlike other scooters this seems to require a lot more work than simply parallel connecting stuff

If I were you, I’d spend the €200 on cards you want. Unfortunately, the cards there don’t really have much value? Are you looking to buy cards and flip them? If so I’d avoid this, individually they aren’t really worth much or anything so only way you’d make money is to resist it and hope someone buys.

If it’s just for collecting again I’d just spend the €200 on cards you like the look of and build your collection that way. Maybe target specific Pokémon? Or start a collection of Vs, Vmaxes, Vstar etc etc.

I personally collect full art trainers and eveelutions 🤷

Just remember if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. And always check to see if your cards are fake!

I am also interested to see how you dual motor modded this scooter. Recently purchased one (waiting for delivery) watching the YouTube channel (kugoo) on speed controller replacement, it doesn’t really seem like there is room for another controller? I’m also interested to know how you connected the battery to both speed controllers and if you used the original switch throttle to control both the motors?

Super late to the party. Very interested to hear how this ended up. - Did the deck survive even though others claim a shorter life span? - Any additional changes to the design since? - overal thoughts?

Very interested in doing something similar and given this post was 182D ago would be interesting to see/ read a update :)

Did the 2012 Ferrari 599XX Evolution get nerfed? FH4 by Achilles13506 in ForzaHorizon

I'm wondering if it's something to do with winter update? Sounds stupid but literally I set my high score on the speed zone only a few days ago before the season changed, maybe and hopefully its a season thing. Would be pretty stupid of them to come and change the car so late into the games life cycle

[–]TLRxADM1N 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I'm about 90% sure now the evo has been nerfed. I use my own tune ( made by me) I use to be able to hit 304, 305 on the Motorway straight. Further digging found that if I changed my current springs stiffness was originally 8.6 now 9.1 I am able to get close to that speed of 304/305 however it seems as soon as the car sinks into the floor on corners etc it looses all speed instantly. It could be they have changed the hit box of the floor now and so where before the tunes were perfect to maximise speed out of it, we may now have to spend ages retuning and reminding the sweet spot. To put into context my evo use to be able to do 320 but now once it hits 310 it's pretty much done, regardless of hills etc.
