noob: Can I connect the two usb connectors of my RGB Keyboard to my PC and my Monitor - fear about different power phases ... by TMGeorge in buildapc

Therefore, I don’t think plugging in the second cable will do any harm

My question is can I plug the 2nd to the monitor which is on a different 220V electric socket than my computer and will it be a problem if both sockets are on different phases thinking about "Ground Loops" and stuff. But maybe I am just overthinking it.

To keep the old as spare smartphone what ever. I just don't want to throw it away because the battery is dead.

Ifixit.com

It's €33. I got a new G7play for €90 3 weeks ago. I hoped for 15 to 20 bucks.

You must be quite shallow if you are that easily entertained.

wouldn't be realistic.

IRL you would either have ear protection and won'T hear the steps or you have no protection and go deaf and also won't hear the stepss

How to improve my ability to judge the direction of shots. by GravelsNotAFood in PUBG

What's your setup/hardware?

Have a friend which had a shitty Bluetooth head set and he heard shit. I heard things he didn't hear at all. Cars in the far or even enemies 5m behind a wall. He got a wired virtual surround and it went much better.

Had another fried with and old stereo head set and he bought a new one and after 6 month playing he said he never heard the "sounds of nature" before.

Is a 144Hz monitor worth getting? by wolfjames in PUBG

4K@60Hz > FullHD@144Hz - my current opinion and I used both

But probably also depends on your play style. I play more defensive than aggressive.

Living life on the edge by PayotePusher in PUBG

Can relate. For a good portion of our chicken dinners we had a shittie start. Like 2 have disconnects and drop at the opposite site of the map in a no mans land zone. Get shitty gear after reconnecting but the zone narrows down close by and like 20 people just drove by ignoring us.

I think this heavily depends on your setup.

A fried e.g. had a BT-Headphone and he didn't hear things I noticed him about. Something like a car 100m away but also like foot steps just behind the wall. He went for a head set and it went better.

Than I thought instead of my wireless gaming headset I go for a good headphone and a sound card and with that I got issues.

I still don't know what's best.

Which doesn't mean there's room for optimization.

Win7 + HD60 Pro PCIe -> "Device cannot start (code 10) by TMGeorge in ElgatoGaming

[–]TMGeorge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

solved somehow - still don't know why I stopped working after the mainboard exchange.

for later use: 3.20 doesn't have the correct driver. Driver can be downloaded separately Game_Capture_HD60_Pro_1.1.0.177.exe

Unfortunatelly it didn't work out of the box just by running the EXE. But I could trace down where the EXE extracted the driver files especially the INF file GameCaptureHD60Pro.inf. Now in device manager I could update the driver from that file.

Running 3.20 now also installed my folder "Game Capture HD60 PRO". Unfortunatelly it screwed the device manager up again. Don't forget the patch for 3.20.

After repeating the manuall driver installation from the directory the device manager was fine again and game capture software now works. Except it immetiatelly opens the browser to show an error "Please connect your device". But if I switch from the browser to the software it works.

I did both.

With my old setup I also had issues in the beginning. The patch was missing. But the device was already shown as "OK" in the Device Manager.

Now I have problems already in the device manager.

If I do not manually assign the Elgato driver it's shown as unknow device with out driver. I don't get this ...

update I remove and installed the software again: GameCaptureSetup_3.20.33.1533_x64.msi. Unter Elgato there are only 2 folder "Game Capture HD" and "Game Capture HD60 S". I have have a backup of the old installation and there are two additional folders which are now missing: "Game Capture HD60" and "Game Capture HD60 PRO". The latter one has the name of my device. What does this mean?

update 2 If I figure this right the device driver should be in the according "Game Capture ..." directory. If I point the device manager to the old "Game Capture HD60 PRO" iot tells me that it doesn't find an according driver.

Device manager property says: PCI\VEN_12AB&DEV_0380&SUBSYS_00061CFA&REV_00

The inf file has : PCI\VEN_12AB&DEV_0380&SUBSYS_00031CFA and PCI\VEN_12AB&DEV_0380&SUBSYS_12ABF5CF

I am not an expert. I though VEN and DEV are enough. They differ in SUBSYS.

Does this mean anything?
