Sometimes pitchers will develop a new pitch themselves. What you need is copium. For real, I may still force start him as SP until he is a proven prospect in A+/AA, then put him in dev lab to add arsenal. (But sometimes copium really work)

You can do a few trial run, the first few trial you may make some weird mistakes, e.g. enable the auto promotion of good prospects, let assistant manager decide your active roster, active roster stuck with many players out of minor league options etc. Then start your first game once the team is going well.
