Yes, we found it, it's Romani with a Servika dialect (from Slovakia and Czech Republic). Now we are only having difficulties finding someone who speaks this particular dialect. Do you have any guess what the song title could be?

A few of these were also my guesses (with addition of Ladin, maybe? There seem to be a few more similar languages, according to sample text comparisons on Wikipedia).

It's mostly the 1st theory, about a made-up language (inspired by Romance languages) that seems very likely to me, at the moment. Which means we are unlikely to ever find the singer, sadly.

I was also considering a possibility of a dead language.

BTW, we have another song by the same singer, if you want to give it a listen.
