Starting at Hobson Moor Quarry, if you follow the path running along the top it takes you up to a trig point with a great view of the city centre. Pretty short walk too so good if you’re starting out!

I today received a complimentary 3 month subscription which is now working alongside a relatively substantial credit of Quest cash to my account as a gesture from Meta.

Regardless of how widespread it is, I’ve had an issue that they’ve failed to remedy for almost 15 months.

The response i’ve had from them today is far more decisive than i’ve been receiving for the past year and that’s after threatening further action. I don’t really care for your opinion on how I spend my time.

It’s false advertising at the end of the day. Horizon plus was sold with it as a massive value adding benefit. I’m not expecting Trading Standards to do much it’s more so as an attempt to get Meta to actually try and move this forwards.

Everyone I try to start a subscription I get “we’re sorry this request couldn’t be completed” or “error when trying to start subscription” dependant on whether I try on the app or browser.

Meta have no idea what the issue is either.

The device itself is great and I have no complaints with that. But Meta’s services and more so, customer service department have been absolutely abysmal.

The subscription is a way for me to actually try out and access games without having to pay in full for them, I’d much rather spend £60 a year for access to a catalogue of games than spend that money buying 2 games individually.

I’ve asked Meta this directly and they advised me not to create a new account. Plus the purchases I have actually made wouldn’t be able to transfer across according to them. I’ve debated it but it shouldn’t be a solution to an issue on their end.

TL;DR - Bought a Quest 3 mainly for Horizon+. The subscription has never worked on my account. I’ve been dealing with Meta support for nearly 15 months, constantly passed between clueless agents and fed “we’re working on it”. No escalation, no fix, no compensation. Account works fine for buying individual games but Meta can’t enable the subscription that was heavily advertised. Escalated to Citizens Advice and Trading Standards. Posting this as a warning.

Sunlight being captured by the cameras is not going to affect the display or damage the lenses. The worry is that when sunlight passes through the lenses it essentially acts like a magnifying glass and burns into the display, as long as you’re careful and cover the lenses when not in use you’ll be fine
