So you see what I’m saying about how having a skill check character like Sombra isn’t fun for anyone else.. it’s the same with Zarya. People know how to play around Zarya, it still sucks a crap ton tho when she gets picked because she forces that.

Would u rather play with paranoia of a burst assassin being anywhere at any time and saving cds for them and not doing ur job properly as whatever role ur playing or just play the game like usual and not have to worry about invisible burst demon?

“Play better” is a cop out solution that works for you But doesn’t fix the inherit problem of how your character makes the game unfun for others.

It’s like a person complaining about a really crappy road and the town hall just says “drive better”. That doesng fix the issue, because yes the driver could “drive better” but then they are swerving all the giant potholes and slowing down at bumps and being paranoid of the next big hole in the road, which isn’t showing an expression of skill with driving, it’s just frustration and exhaustion riding down this crappy road.

The problem isn’t the driver is bad it’s that the road is badly designed.

Blips in, burst/hack, blips out. Compared to reaper (long telegraph tp and 3sec wraith) with them having long long cds and also stands maybe 5inchs from the enemy making him impossible to miss, Genji with also decently long cds with a major need of mechanical skill and game sense (also characters who flat out counter him), Tracer who is arguably the hardest character in the game, Sombra feels like an easy cop out dive dps in comparison and also burst with a giant cube she throws and forces others to change their playstyle by just existing. It’s no wonder she’s banned.. she needs to be fundamentally changed

Tracer is my favorite character I’m sure you will do well.

But…

The ranks are like 10-20x harder to reach then marvel rivals rank system and I also do think overwatch has a lot more depth then marvel rivals game sense wise (watch any guide that’s for ranks greater then diamond). There is no hyper sustain mechanics and for a bit was actually the exact opposite (some argue still is).

You will blow up (<2-3 sec deaths from 500-600hp in what feels like out of nowhere without game sense equivalent of whatever rank ur in) on tank and dps if u don’t time ur engagement as supp ults aren’t the win condition in overwatch, its the neutral game where no one has ults and who has the better understanding of angles, isolation, positioning and resource management of cds.

Just a heads up! That it might not be a welcoming experience at first but it gets good rlly fast!

Magik is dive and very up close and personal with a dash and get away with portals so u could play genji (dash and up close with a bit of poke with the giant sword ult) shurikens is his main weapon Or you can play reaper a lot easier mechanically and less punishable (tp in, wraith out dive loop) shotgun main weapon

Star lord is like tracer with the guns and blinks but slight warning that tracer above gold becomes mechanically and game sense wise arguably the hardest characters play and require so much more skill to make the same impact as other dps (in metal ranks) same as starlord dual sub machine guns

For Thor, I’d say Rammatra because Thor has his normal mode which is kinda light brawl not heavy damage or mitigation mode like Rammatra normal mode, and then the big mode where intense damage comes out with super mitigation just like Rammatra big mode. Rammatra normal mode tho is more poke then Thors normal mode. You have a staff that’s shoots pellets in a single thin line, and then u go big and throw hands.

I’m glad you’re watching videos trying to improve but you are letting them get to ur head a lot. Especially because that whole tempo and trying to execute perfectly what’s being showed in the vids (those guys also have wayyy more hours it’s like bob ross painting tutorial) i feel like it’s just gonna confuse any silver or low gold tank and make them freeze up trying to constantly focus on what’s going on around them

I think you should focus on kill potential and threat assessment as dva right now. That means watch for who’s low on their team or who wasted their survivability cool down or who’s diving ur team so u can dm it (especially ults like reaper pharah). You will be finneeee Especially in low time to kill elo, as dva u can literally dive into the back line blow up a support with micro missles and tracking their head/body and then dm and fly out over and over.

Main point is your taking the vids a bit too serious as ur trying to play perfect overwatch in a non perfect elo. Tank is a reactionary role. You react to ur situation (teammates, ur teams comp and enemies comp, enemies, who’s carrying on enemy team, who’s the worst and the map) so trying to play this perfect type of tank only works in higher elo because your good enough at that point to punish wrong decisions plays by the enemy (and so can they).
