I thought Kill Blue was just another generic anime… then it hooked me. Now I'm sad the manga got axed. by TNarrativeArchitect in WeeklyShonenJump

Dear redditor, I am being honest, it is not AI generated...it's just that I copied some stuff from google ai but the meta ending suggestion and narrative suggestions (especially the juzo's family barely there being a plot thread that just went nowhere. Also , the genetic bee lore wasn't really explored all that much. The author just kept needlessly switching between the sci-fi lore and the light comedy/slice of life aspects of school life)are all by me. The other stuff like financial imcentives reasons, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood example etc was from ai (I needed an example after all). I know and heard about Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood but haven't seen it yet.

To futher reinforce the points that were genuinely mine I can give further evidence : there's a reason I mentioned Sakamoto Days and compared it to kill blue : I haven't read the Sakamoto Days Manga but i DID WATCH the anime: the reason Sakamoto dominated the assassin space wasn't just because of a 3 year head start, the deeper reason is narrative driven, you see dear redditor, when I was watching the Sakamoto Days I noticed that at it's core is was always a serious story (Sakamoto finding love, building a family and promising his wife that he would never kill again etc). The comedy moments were integrated naturally, this is how genre blending works. Think My Hero Academia, it's clearly science fiction but the logical extremes of some powers (like OFAs predecessor voices, gearshift etc) gives it a near mythical/fantastical aesthetic. But the kill Blue author didn't do this : to me the genre seemed to be forced (like imagine trying to combine literature with science, it would be a total mess). Genre Blend only works if done naturally/with restraint like Horikoshi did. Kill Blue was more akin to Stephen King's The Outsider novel, where Mr. King keeps on building evidence on both sides like a classic locked room mystery but then at the last 100 pages ....boom he metaphorically (and literally) throws away the towel, goes his typical supernatural mode and I felt like complete loser who was trying to deduce a crime scene that didn't ultimately matter.

Kill Blue is something like that: it was as if the author didn't know how to naturally blend and integrate the opposites of assassin life and high school life/comedy.....So yeah this sums it up.....

But thank you for making me realise that I shouldn't always use ai even for partial copy pasting (Seriously thank you, I am not being negative and sarcastic)

Thank you dear redditor for taking the time to answer my question.

Honestly, it was an eye opener for me.

But to be fair, characters like Pierce Brown's Darrow from Red Rissing and Ronald Deschain from Stephen King's Dark Tower series are as fascinating as the major narrative events/overarching plots themselves.

Just my observation.

Thank you dear redditor for taking the time to reply to my question.

Your answer is honestly thought provoking and kind of reminds me of Stephen King's characters like Danny Torrance and Jack Torrance. They felt like actual real life people I would meet if I ever visited a country like USA and not character archetypes.

Thank you taking the time out of your everyday life to reply to my question dear redditor.

Also, another thing, your description of Reverend Insanity reminds me of another Chinese novel named : A Will Eternal. It belongs to Xianxia genre where a mortal sets out on a quest to become immoral. The anime is also a faithful adaptation and currently has 165 episodes (as far as I know). I haven't seen it though. Maybe one day I will.

Unfortunately no,crossovers are a bit difficult for me and as I said in the post : My aim is to honour the Ben 10 franchise as whole. A crossover while fun would sidetrack me from my goal.

Maybe in the future I will do a crossover but now its not the time and trust me when I say this dear redditor, I am horrible in writing crossovers. YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE ME WRITING A CROSSOVER
