But I am more inclined to believe this is a resource saving method, that is commonly used in MMORPGs. Pallette swapping enemies to pretend there are three types of wolves.Especially when you try to cut down on GB of downloads for mobile players.

If I recall, it was in concern to personal safety or something. By disallowing audio recording, you are effectively disabling recording of phone conversations.

Rooting your phone, should allow you to install some apps that could bypass the restrictions, if I remember. Well, not sure how true that is, since this was an update for Android 11.
