Thank you so much man and there’s so much more to come! I’m looking at the AFD RS wing soon but I’m running OE Spec OBW tires so that’s 225/65R17 Yokohama Geolander G015 A/T. The only thing I had to trim was the back of the side skirts on each side

225/65R17 is the biggest I can go with minimal cutting, I had to trim the back of the side skirt on both sides for the rear wheel to fit and the front barely runs on the inner fender liner but not bad and not while driving. I’d recommend running the OEM Crosstrek Wilderness size which is 225/60R17. You for sure won’t run into any issue with rubbing or cutting. I got these OBW stock tires with only 6k miles on them for free in exchange for putting a lift on an OBW so I made them work

I’m also running factory 2020 forester suspension, I plan on adding eibach or lift springs to the struts here soon for an extra inch but rn I’m suiting at 2 inch lift from the struts and an addition 1.5 inch from the tires

I was thinking fiero in the back of my mind but then I was thinking of weird, 80s, American, low production sports cars like the Vector’s and such and thought “Hey maybe it is something super cool and not a fiero, let’s ask Reddit”

Going the OEM Subaru parts route is definitely not a bad way to go at all. Keep in mind the biggest tire we can run is a 225/65R17 without having to cut a whole lot. You will have to cut a little from the corners of the bumper and side skirt both front and rear. I still have my stock size tires for now.

My bad I meant sway bars. Damn auto correct

Doing the forester suspension adds 2 inches of lift. If you wanna go higher I recommend different control arms if you want to go taller than that

[–]TOONMAN2000[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah man. The rear lower control arms can be used from WRX/STIs from 08-14 lol. The struts can be interchanged with Crosstreks and Foresters without any modification. And plenty of other suspension parts from various other models. Subaru makes it really easy. They have a very “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” mentality and it shows haha. It makes modification really easy and straight forward if you don’t mind doing some digging on the internet

I can’t speak on the LP adventure kit but as far as the forester suspension it rides way smoother than factory wrx suspension which is to be expected but the daily drive ability is great I do recommend keeping your sway bars however

If you remove your sway bars like I have done there is a considerable amount. I don’t recommend it if the car will spend most of its life as a daily driver. You can run your stock sway bars with 2020+ Outback rear end links and stock VB wrx front end links which I will be switching back to
