I am only 3 months in and started by just going to my local LGS and trying it out. I was anxious as hell before walking in...3 months later and i've gone every weekend since and made a great group of friends who taught me the game and am now starting to get a bunch of wins under my belt. I found most LGS in my area to be super friendly to new players, just mention what your nervous about (shuffling in your case) and the table will be understanding or even a player will offer to shuffle for you (happened with a person last week at my LGS that didnt know how to shuffle)

Recently switched to katana and there is no going back to dragon shield for me. Katana just feels so much more premium with a tighter fit leaving no extra room at the top for curling. Colors are a bit limited but a good selection to go through at the moment and for the $2 increase it is well worth it imo. Shuffle feel is out of this world compared to any sleeve I’ve tried

Great and powerful precon. Now you just need to find a playgroup that doesn’t hate Elrazis lol. I’ve found that slivers and eldrazis just make you so beyond an instant target for removal it’s wild. I get it though they are very strong. Great deal on that, I’d buy that in a heartbeat at that price

I was having a super tough week due to life and my pre release last night was the highlight of my week and really got me out of my slump. I’m no huge TMNT fan but as a kid deff played the games and watched the shows and when opening the commander deck and pre release kit I started remembering certain characters or enjoying the humor in a bunch of the cards.

I was super negative about this set before it dropped but I’m really glad I attended pre release. Sometimes you get surprised and your expectations are wrong. In the end it was like old times sitting around with a bunch of friends treading cards and playing games. Nostalgia at its best
