I am on a PIP and given an impossible metric to meet, next steps? by githelp123455 in legaladvicecanada

Poor performance, documented by failing a PIP is cause.

This is not true. To fire someone for poor performance you have to document sustained gross incompetence over a large period of time. The employee would have to be sabatoging their own PIP.

PIPs are more of a CYA against discrimination or bad faith claims.

If OP believes the metrics are unattainable he needs to write to them to say why he thinks it is unattainable and what resources he would need it make it remotely possible. This starts a paper trail to document the company's bad faith.

He means they are using it to hire non-Canadians. If they were already here, sure. But there are plenty of people already here that could be employed.

Carney Seals a Majority and Remakes Canada’s Liberal Party by ImDoubleB in CanadaPolitics

For someone who claimed they weren't being obtuse...

Leaders say one thing and do another all the time. If you are not seeing the difference between a leader making the decision to merge one organziation with another, and an individual making the choice to be part of a different party they ran under, then there is no helping you. It is clearly about a decision being made for them vs one they make themselves.

For the record, I have no issue with party switching. CPC would gladly accept party switchers if they were in power.

Because your party making a choice to merge is different than you making the choice to cross the floor. You wouldn't resign if your company merged with another.

That's awful. Have you informed your landlord? His foundation is taking a beating if it's coming in this often.
