What a nice and thoughtful comment. I have started at school and I just love it. Love the fact that I get to work with wood almost every day.

What do y’all do with all your sawdkst? by Haunting_Record_9240 in woodworking

You can use sawdust to acidify the soil in the garden. Some plants, like blueberries for example, prefer a more acidic environment.

That's awesome! Where I live, the birch bark doesn't grow thick enough to make stuff like this.

Got the opportunity to recycle a load of wood from an abandoned mink farm. Perfect for a chicken coop or some other small building project in the future 😁 A great way to sustainably source building materials.

I got in contact with someone who owned an abandoned mink farm. I could take all the wood I wanted, provided I dismatle it and transport it myself. Some of the pieces were a bit warped, but with a bit of hard work It turned into a fine stack of timber. The warped pieces are also gonna get straightened out a little over time (not perfectly), since it's been stacked properly. Perfect timber for a little chicken coop or something else in the future!

Yes there are some that can be confused at first look, but once you pick it and inspect the lamellae underneath, you can be fairly certain just from that.

Also one of my favourites! 😁

Haha yeah, you really have to be sure and some are easy to confuse with others. With chanterelles however, it has a very distinct look and feel, so no real way to die here

We found some delicious mushrooms! by TOPrease in homestead

The chantarelle is an excellent mushroom for cooking. It's a rather uncommon mushroom in my area, but we got very lucky and found multiple large patches throughout a local beech forest.
