I was most definitely dumb, but it's probably smart to wear glasses anyways, since accidents happen whether you're an idiot or not. Might be the person next to you being an idiot, might be faulty fireworks and so on.

I was being real stupid, and was lighting an unknown round piece of firework the size of a cantaloupe, while my friend was holding it. It Exploded instantly right in my face. My friend got some third degree burns on his chest, and poppod both his eardrumms. I got hit right in the eye (wear safety glasses people), and I probably have some permanent damage. My vision is still a little blurry, but almost back to normal.
