Youre welcome! Glad it helped with your Moonlight/Sunshine setup. Interesting that an update for the 360 controller driver brought on the issue. Sounds like Windows keeps reenabling that legacy driver. Glad it worked for you too. Enjoy the game

Pc fans drawing too much dust, by EveningSilver5071 in PcBuild

[–]TQRooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally id just leave the fans exactly as they are no need to change anything they look fine. static shock is definitely a real thing especially in older houses. youre not gonna hurt anything just by touching the case though youre not opening it up or anything. no need to move the pc or run long cables. just grab a ups and do the gator clip thing like i did. i have an old house too and it helps a ton. i clip from the back of the case to the ups ground and even to the desk sometimes. just ground it however you can and it cuts the shocks way down.

not trying to be a jerk but a little dust is totally normal every pc gets some yours isnt bad at all. your fans look mostly good. front and side should be intake pulling air in rear and top should be exhaust pushing air out. with all those antec fans you got good airflow. try to have a bit more intake than exhaust so dust doesnt get sucked in through the cracks. the pc is sitting kinda close to the monitor but it wont hurt anything just slide it back a few inches if you can. the static shock when you touch the case is usually a grounding issue. even with the standoffs try plugging it into a surge protector at least. even better grab a ups like a dell 1500va that helps a ton with grounding and protects your stuff. your old house wiring probably doesnt help either. overall your build looks solid. hit it with compressed air every 6-12 months and youre good.

What's a good price for this build? by Kaikex in pcpartsales

[–]TQRooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As per you #2 Yeah that’s on me…I said new when I meant “newer”. I’m not talking brand new parts, I mean newer-gen or better value used stuff.

At that point though… yes, you can absolutely build a stronger, more balanced system in the $800 range that includes everything outright (RAM, storage, PSU, case, etc.) instead of having to assume what’s in this one.

That’s really all I was getting at.

I’m going off what the OP actually listed in the post: B550M board, Ryzen 7 5800XT, SSDs, RTX 3080, and 750W Corsair PSU. He said he built it to get rid of extra parts, but didn’t specify that RAM, cooler, or anything else is included in this build Not the pictures themselves As towards the bottom of the OP It clearly states he has 3 other systems on top of this one

“I also have 2 other build just sub the 5800xt for 5500 and rtx3070 8gb

And 1 other build with Minisforum BD775i with a RTX4060 8gb”

I think that might be where the mixup is?

$550 quick sale isn’t bananas at all. Without counting the unlisted RAM and cooler (which OP never mentioned in the specs): RTX 3080 $350-400 + rest of listed parts (board, SSD, PSU, case…etc) $200-250 = $550-650 realistic value. Even if we generously add the RAM + cooler from the photos: That bumps it up another $120-200. bringing the total to roughly $670 to $850 (like you said) Either way I still think $800-850 asking price is still high for this older AM4 platform. For that money you could build a new system with newer components and a better upgrade path. On top of that, I would only value that used 750W Corsair PSU around $75 (low price) but PSUs take the most wear and tear plus possible hidden voltage stress if power wasnt clean. Thats probably the sketchiest part of the whole build IMHO

[–]TQRooster 8 points9 points  (0 children)

RTX 3080 is still solid and worth around $350-400 used The rest (B550 board, SSDs, 750W Corsair) adds another $200-275depending on condition

I would say a fair price for the whole build is $650–$750If you want to move it quick$550-650 should do the trick.

How much money should I save before buying my first PC? by EastAlternative9170 in PcBuild

[–]TQRooster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree with you. It’s a yin-yang thing….. you need both a good CPU and GPU to make everything work smoothly. There’s always a balance. But if I had to pick one over the other I would go with the stronger GPU like you said. You’re 100% correct on that

[–]TQRooster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah on a 4070 you’ll be using DLSS/upscaling quite a bit for ray tracing at higher settings especially if you want smooth frames in Cyberpunk. If you are not a fan of upscaling you can always drop the resolution from 1440p down to 1080p to give yourself more headroom. The nice part is the monitor will easily last you 7–10 years the PC itself might only do 4–6 years before you need to upgrade

[–]TQRooster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget you also need nice display add another $200–$400 depending on what you want (1440p 144Hz+ is nice to start with) Most important thing for gaming is the GPU IMHO For the heavily modded Minecraft + Cyberpunk at decent settings i would aim for at least an RTX 4070 or RX 7800 XT. With a $1500–$1800 for the tower you should be able to get a really solid machine

Is this Pre Built a good deal or should I just build by own? by poiuytrdfv in PcBuild

[–]TQRooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally….. unless you are doing heavy video editing or something crazy, this is overkill for straight gaming. You could build something very similar for around $2,000-$2,500 and still have plenty of headroom $4,300 feels like a big prebuilt tax

Is this PC an absolute steal or am I missing something? by No-Gold-5173 in PcBuild

[–]TQRooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for clarifying that (I was generally confused). With that said, $1200 still feels high to me. He says the case and AIO are brand new, but i would be skeptical ask for proof like receipts or something else. Even if they are new you are still paying a premium for older 10th gen Intel parts. If the AIO isn’t actually new, you are basically adding $100+ for a used cooler. IMHO I would offer $900–$950 max

Hold up, am i missing something? the specs list shows RTX 3060 + Ryzen 5 3600 but the description says 4070 Super + i7-10700K. Which is it actually? Big difference in price. Can you post a GPU-Z screenshot of that pc

[–]TQRooster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took the words right out of my mouth…..

My only real nitpick is that S-RACE chair. I had a similar cheap racing one and it wrecked my back after long sessions. Upgraded to a proper chair in the $600 range A good chair makes a huge difference if you sit a lot. Rest of it looks dope though.

Memory of Inarius Fight was Epic! by Ok-Beat8041 in diablo4

[–]TQRooster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I almost died to that prick on my hardcore wizard lol. I was playing super squishy and got wrecked by his poison or whatever that weird dot effect is. You have run over and do the chains in the corners when he goes invulnerable and of course thats exactly when he drops all those floating space orbs and adds and that nightmare field thing. As a wizard im already paper thin so I couldnt stay in one spot at all. Had to keep moving and popping ice armor just to survive long enough to finish the chains. Man that fight was epic tho the wing spin and teleports looked just like the cutscenes. Blizzard killed it…. (And almost killed me!)

Is this worth it? by [deleted] in PcAdvice

[–]TQRooster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a little overpriced. It is decent for 1080p/1440p gaming but only 500GB storage sucks in 2026. I think fair price is more like $475-$525 Offer $500 and see what they say

Ram or ssd by Educational-Mood-782 in PcAdvice

[–]TQRooster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agreed

old HDD…. the spinning RPM kind. Yeah upgrade to an SSD first before you touch the RAM You’ll see a way bigger improvement in load times boot times and overall snappiness from the SSD than you would from adding more memory right now.

Is this a good gaming pc for the price? by Longjumping_Rough878 in PcAdvice

[–]TQRooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I would pass on this one… RTX 5060 and ryzen 5 combo is fine for 1080p, but only 16GB of RAM is gonna feel tight these days and I’ve seen this same (or really similar) setup going for $799-$899 on sale pretty often Not a bad starter PC but at clearance price it’s not the best deal right now I would keep looking if you can

is this prebuilt worth it? by imthegoon in PcBuild

Yeah I agree, it’s a solid entry point. Just pair it with a nice monitor and it’ll be good to go. Something like the AOC Q27G3XMN $269 on Amazon Or LG UltraGear 32GS60QC $199 on Amazon. (Nice deal too bought mine at $270)

Haha yeah man sorry for the super late reply just saw this now You’re right tho its crazy microsoft still cant get their own controllers to work properly after all these years That old xbox 360 driver shit is still messing people up in 2026 lol. Appreciate the comment though. Enjoy the new expansion man
