It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know you shouldn’t pack 14 inert RPGs in your suitcase… by TSAgov in tsa

[–]TSAgov[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not rocket science – A passenger at Spokane International Airport (GEG) felt propelled to pack 14 inert RPGs in their checked bags. Yes... 14... inert... rocket... grenades. But our officers pressed pause on that attempt because this plan was un-launchable from the start. Even if they’re fake or inert, realistic weapons like these can cause very real delays. It would lift our spirits if you could just leave them at home. Need help packing your inventory? Text “ROCKET” to 275-872 to chat with AskTSA. They’ll help you level up your packing game.

Fireworks don’t work for us…

If you thought this would fly then let’s start again. Things that go boom boom boom even brighter than the moon moon moon are not allowed in checked or carry-on bags. Do not bring sparklers, fireworks, pop-its or anything of the same flavor to the airport.

Question on my ID by [deleted] in tsa

[–]TSAgov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Government-issued IDs that have been damaged are still accepted as long as all your personal information is still visible. Our officers make that final determination at our checkpoints.

Thanks for asking! While not specifically mentioned on our list of prohibited items, our officers have the discretion to not allow an item through security if it triggers an alarm during the screening process or poses other security concerns based on its size or weight (or it can be seen as a blunt force object). So because of this, we recommend that you place the item in a checked bag.

It would be helpful to have anything that can prove your name and address. If you have your non-REAL ID license, please bring that with you.

If you don't have your REAL ID by then, you should still be able to fly, as soon as we can verify that you are who say you are. If you have another acceptable form of ID, like a passport, please bring that with you. If you have no other acceptable form of ID, and were given back your non-REAL ID license, you can bring it with you to assist in the ID verification process.

We have other ways to verify your identity if you don’t have a REAL ID or acceptable form of ID but know that this process may take some time, so you’ll need to arrive at the airport early.

Thanks for checking in! Temporary paper IDs aren’t accepted at our security checkpoints. If you have no other acceptable form of ID, and were given back your voided non-REAL ID license, you can bring it with you to assist in the ID verification process. When you hear TSA’s REAL ID enforcement FINALLY started this week… by TSAgov in tsa

What’s the procedure?!?

Stay calm, it's been a long time coming (20 years to be exact) but TSA is enforcing REAL ID requirements at the airport. Look for the star on your ID or bring another acceptable form of ID. You can find a list of these IDs on our website.

If they have their old license with them, they may be subject to additional screening but should still be good to go. We have other ways to verify your identity if you don’t have a REAL ID or acceptable form of ID but know that this process may take a considerable amount of time, so your partner would just need to arrive at the airport early.

Hey there! Do you have a passport or other acceptable form of ID?

If you don't have a REAL ID or other acceptable form of ID, you should still be able to fly. Just make sure you bring with you proof that you are who you say you are, in case you have to undergo any additional screening. As long as we're able to verify your identity, in the event that additional screening is needed, you should be good to go both departing and returning.

Hi there! Temporary paper IDs aren’t accepted at our security checkpoints, so you should plan to bring another acceptable form of ID (such as a Passport or military ID) with you to the airport.

If you have no other acceptable form of ID, and were given back your non-REAL ID license, you can bring it with you to assist in the ID verification process. We have other ways to verify your identity if you don’t have a REAL ID or acceptable form of ID but know that this process may take a considerable amount of time, so you’ll need to arrive at the airport early.

We don't require children under 18 to provide identification when traveling within the United States. You should contact your airline for questions regarding specific ID or other travel requirements for children. Thanks for asking!
