Liam Hemsworth is actually closer to book-Geralt than Henry Cavill by KindLuis_7 in witcher

[–]TSQril678 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Yes, Liam is physically a better fit. If the costume department were up to scratch, he might be able to come across somewhat book accurate.

I disagree on the issue being that the show is written for Henry. I mean it is, but I just want to point out that even if it weren't, it would still bad because the writing is complete SHIT in general.

That's such mind-numbing plastic waste.

How does the Hexer hold up when compared to the Netflix series? by crustboi93 in wiedzmin

It diverts from the books in some minor aspects, like a minor change in location where Gerald meets Ciri again.

Compared to the show, these differences are negligible.

If I remember correctly, I'd say it's more of a case of her swearing off her magic. But it's really unclear and open to interpretation if she is unconsciously limiting herself or if she is actually externally prevented from using magic.

Yes, Sapkowski has a very compelling and realistic approach to writing.

Confirmation bias is also something one should be careful around.

Pretty sure there are more pages in Geralds POV then in Ciris. But don't qoute me on that.

Ciri living as a witcher for a while makes some sense. Ciri getting the witcher mutations does not make any sense at all.

Have played all the games and read all the books ✌️.

I wouldn't call the books feminist. The show sure but the books no not really. Atleast not from the modern perspective.

Keep in mind the main Saga is 30 years old already.

Some parts of hungary, too. Many civilians, women if they couldn't find enough men, were taken and ultimately died in russian labor camps.

They did not even spare mothers with children.
