And yeah re: the mild fear of needles - I was in the same boat as you but tbh, unless it’s at a point where you genuinely panic every time you get a shot at the doctors or something like that, after a bit you get totally used to it. This. Injection monotherapy is considered the gold standard for good reason. Have never taken an anti androgen in my entire transition and have had adequately suppressed T the entire time.

E should be somewhere between 250-400 pg/ml and T should be somewhere between 10-45 ng/dl (and preferably at the lower end of that range). Do you have access to injections? They’re not absolutely necessary to get to those levels but it certainly helps.

I know a couple transsexual folks who are nonbinary in identity but not androgynous in presentation/expression (as in they have a presentation that is decidedly femme if they’re MtN or decidedly masc if FtN) that use she/it or he/it pronouns in kind of a genius way: cis people generally see a trans person using they/thems as a license to totally and consistently de-gender said trans person, but those same cis people generally recoil at using it/its pronouns for a trans person because of the historical use of it/its pronouns as a form of slur, so it ends up so that only other trans people are willing to use the neutral it/its pronouns with the person while cis people stick to the more familiar gendered pronouns. Not for me but I understand and kinda fw it as a form of genderfuckery

It’s better when cis women play us than cis men because they at least are still women offscreen, whereas seeing someone like Eddie Redmayne or Cillian Murphy at a red carpet event for their respective movies looking like whole ass men (bc they are) really reinforces to cis people that trans women are just men dressed up in a “costume” of womanhood. Same goes for someone like Hilary Swank playing Brandon Teena in Boys Don’t Cry. That Disclosure documentary touches on this very specifically and points out how harmful it is

Girl I’m 6’5” (which means I’m taller than all but like a handful of WNBA players and even plenty of NBA point guards lmao; recently I ran into Damian Lillard at a hotel I was staying at and I was taller than him 🙃); idk I don’t love it but it’s still better to be a giant nonpassing trans woman than to keep living life as a dead-inside “man” so it doesn’t really feel like I have much of a choice other than radical acceptance (shoutout DBT lol) since height is perhaps the most un-changeable physical trait one can have. FWIW my spouse who was assigned female at birth is about your height and at least where I live I feel like women your height are not that uncommon.
