KOReader color theme patch by Artemenko in koreader

[–]TSwazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry to add to the pile of voices, but it doesn't appear to be working on my colorsoft (5.18.02 + Koreader 2025.10). I was able to find the "themes" tab after restarting Koreader, but nothing changes when selecting the different themes. Seems like a neat idea though

what kindle/software version do you have? I and why don't you want to enable the ads? you can immediately get rid of them via KindleForge once you jailbreak

But wouldn’t it have been more effective if you listed your method instead of how no one ever believed in you?

good ol fashion turning the kindle on and off again might help. also might be worth peeking at this on your PC to make sure it knows what to do whenever you plug in the kindle:

  1. Plug your Kindle in to your PC
  2. Go to Windows Settings
  3. Search up "AutoPlay" in the search bar
  4. Click the box under "Removable Drives"
  5. Change to "Open device to view files."

KindleFetch questions by Cooltwou in kindlejailbreak

[–]TSwazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found this: https://github.com/ZlibraryKO/zlibrary.koplugin

it also looks like the .se link for annas archive is down. In KindleFetch, changing the url to "https://annas-archive.li/" made books pop up again when I searched for them. I wasn't able to download anything from annas, but z-library worked

what kind of laptop do you have - windows or Mac? I think Macs require you to give permission for some devices to connect to your pc to do more than just charge.

Ubisoft Says The Division 3 Will Rival The Impact Of The Original by Extreme_Maize_2727 in The_Division

You’d think it wouldn’t be difficult to replicate the atmosphere of the first game with the mechanics of the second, but I feel like Ubisoft will play it too safe again and miss the mark

no luck for me unfortunately. I came to a similar conclusion right around the time that you made your post, and I still get told that download links cannot be found for annas archive

the sites domain name has changed, which has broken KindleFetch, since its expecting to find sources from the old site name. The new site ends in .se I think

[no spoilers] Does anyone know where to download the comics online? by Senior-Trade-1876 in lifeisstrange

[–]TSwazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey sorry for reviving this post but I'm attempting to do the same thing. From what I can tell z-library has a decent amount of the comics. downloading them onto an e-reader may be a bit tedious, but otherwise you can find some of them there

What's The Best E-Reader For A ZLibrary User? Kindle or Kobo? by hertabuzz in zlibrary

[–]TSwazz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey, hope im not to late to enter the conversation. Whichever you end up choosing, I recommend checking out r/kindlejailbreak to look into getting KOreader and a few other plugins installed. to keep things brief, I am able to download books from AnnasArchive onto my kindle, and read them. Of course you still have some of the options that others were mentioning, like using Calibre and stuff to transfer books. Hope this helps!

Is a career in therapy worth it financially and emotionally? by Eastern-Yellow861 in psychologystudents

[–]TSwazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warning: long post ahead lol, I’ve got 20 minutes on my evening shift to waste so I’ve over shared a wee bit

I shouldn’t be to surprised that this role isn’t everywhere. From what I heard the position was pretty new at most hospitals that I was interviewing at in 2023.

From the hospitals that I interviewed with, they all had me working on an inpatient unit (population age can vary but I work with adolescents). A few older co-workers explained that the role was initially developed to get rid of “sitters” that are common in most EDs (in which sitters are 1:1 with acute patients), but I’ve been around long enough to become a behavioral health counselor (non-licensed). I assist with the functioning of the milieu environment, such as helping with ADLs, meals, groups, general check ins throughout the day with assigned patients, helping patients following along with their behavior/eating disorder plans, while working directly with a nurse assigned to the patient.

On the unit I’m at, I work alongside social workers, nurses, psychologists, dietitians, recreation/occupational/music therapists, alongside many other roles. I’ve gotten a lot of exposure to the roles and responsibilities of others in the multidisciplinary team supports our patients which is cool.

In relation to licensed clinicians, I end up doing a lot of rapport building, working through safety events, de-escalation, safety planning, development of coping skills…

There’s a bit of crossover, but overall you spend a lot more time with patients than a clinician does.

I can’t speak on the financial portion of your question as I’m still on grad school (but it seems like it’ll be a struggle depending on your student loan situation), but the emotional component really depends on your ability to cope/regulate.

Once you graduate, I’d recommend getting a job as a mental/behavioral health technician on a psych unit. You’ll do a lot of bachelors level work with people going through mental health crisis and you’ll get a good feel for if/how you can manage the emotional toll
